Best local Italian in East London. We always use the restaurant, but a lot people get their wine there or something from their small deli for takeaway.

We have had multiple dinners there, all notable. Our last dinner had one starter (baby squid and sweet potato), two mains (porcini lasagne and gnocchetti pasta) and shared dessert (type of almond cake). From our other dinners the gelato was notably good.

Symposium has a very nice ambience inside. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Our host was warm and welcoming.
The food was excellent and well presented, delicious. The desserts had the restaurants own interpretation and were delicious.

The food was very good: the ingredients are fresh, the service is always friendly and the wine list has good references to Italian wines. Clearly a place to recommend

There were nine of us celebrating a family birthday.

We were extremely impressed by the knowledgable and courteous input from the Patron, who created a
three-course dinner selection, with red wine, for us.

We had never before tasted nettle risotto (which was delicious), and the fresh pasta with truffle was also delightful.

Have wanted to try this place out for ages (we live locally) and my partner managed to get a later reservation on Valentine's Day. What a treat! Beautiful bottle of 2017 Italian red wine to go with our starter of smoked burrata and Parma ham, mains of beef cheek and black truffle (shavings) pasta and the best tiramisu to finish. Lovely atmosphere and lovely hosts. We look forward to returning again soon.
