“Life's too short to drink bad wine!”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

Had a really lovely lunch with great wine.
Menu is interesting, food well cooked and presented. I had scallops to start and a, perfectly cooked, lamb steak. My partner had asparagus with a soft boiled egg followed by excellent sausage and mash. Service was good and there was a great selection of wines.
They have a cheese room which looks amazing although we didn't try it - something to look forward to when we next visit.

PS toilets first class - always a good sign!!

“Great food, wine and cheese - but just 5 chips?”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Been to Farringdon before but this was my first time at London Bridge - just as good. Had a really good burger and a fabulous South African shiraz. Great cheese from the cheese room. But the burger only came with 5 chips - just 5 - I havent only had 5 chips with a main course, since I was well, 5.

“Never disappoints”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

I spent a fuzzy night here on Friday with friends 'sampling' the wine list! I've been to Vivat at London Bridge a good few times and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is always delicious, and they have an interesting selection of South African wines. I don't think you can go wrong here! .

“Absolutely brilliant!”
Reviewed 6 April 2014 via mobile

We had such a lovely night here. The service was the best we have had in a very long time, friendly & attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious and the South African wine lovely. The highlight for us however was the 'cheese room' which in itself is an experience. I would recommend it to any cheese lover. Really good live jazz too. A perfect evening.

“Splendid and Unique”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

It was disheartening to find that Viva Bacchus was ranked so low in the ratings on this site. The good thing is that we ate there before looking it up.

Staying at the Hilton London Tower Bridge we stumbled onto Viva Bacchus while strolling nearby to the hotel. We are very glad that we did. With a combination of Mediterranean and South African dishes, the menu had plenty to offer.

We chose one of the boards to start. Including humus, tatziki, a feta and red pepper spread along with spicy olives it was a good choice. We also ordered two South African meats which were very tasty if not a bit expensive. Ask for their hot mustard to accompany the meats.

We ate in the lower level near the walk in wine cellar. The cozy atmosphere along with exceptional service made this place a welcome find.
