“Improvement is not coming yet!”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

We stayed in this hotel in the past and were told that all their hotels are undergoing renovations or were already renovated so we took a chance again to book for several nights.

The room: we were allocated a room in the lower ground close to the breakfast room and I suppose given that I requested a good internet connection, it was the best room available. Hotel is nearly booked out at that time according to the reception guy. Although the room is really small, there were side drawers and a chair in the room, a wardrobe and a small television, coffee facilities.

Bathroom: The shower did not work well and is always blocked, which is very surprising to us given that the room looks like has a makeover.

It was also disappointing that when you go out of the room, there was a toilet for everyone to use on the way to the breakfast room and you can smell that a chemical was used to clean it.

Breakfast: when you enter the breakfast room, the staff was busy that at times they forgot to bring what you requested and then serve the last one who came in, or totally forgot your order and you have to ask the second time. The staff seems to avoid eye contact when you want to say something and looks unhappy. Breakfast is basic but adequate.

The best thing in this hotel is t location, accessible to bus, train and walking distance to supermarket, banks, and restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower level to get a good internet connection.

First the positives - this hotel is in a great location, close to Earls Court tube station and in the vicinity of many pubs and restaurants. It is also very clean and our towels were changed every day. Now for the negatives. The room we (3 adults) were given was tiny. It had 3 beds very close together and one tiny closet. The bathroom was minute - it resembled an airplane bathroom with a tiny bathroom stall at the side. There were no hooks either in the room or bathroom to hang towels or anything else. The staff - other than the female receptionist who was very friendly - was efficient but not at all friendly. You could barely get a good morning out of them. The breakfast room like all the other rooms was extremely small and most mornings you would need to wait for someone to finish before you could get a table. Breakfast was a basic continental breakfast. I would say that this hotel is a good 1 or 2 star hotel but definitely not a 3.

I came with my 2 nephews, staying July 28th/29th and we all loved the room. The only hiccup we had was that I ordered a room with 3 separate beds but we were put in 1 with a single and double bed. After notifying reception, we were moved to another room with 3 beds. Beds were so comfy that we overslept and missed breakfast!! Staff were very friendly, even when we accidentally left the room without the key. A member of staff took us up to let us back in. Room was clean and shower room was small but ok, and bigger than the one in the room with 1 single and 1 double bed so I'm glad we moved to the room we moved to. Would definitely visit again.

Good hotel, small rooms and we skipped Breakfast. The WiFi is not always working correct. The fun part of checking in; the desk boy was very strikt in explaining that we could not bring the key outside the hotel.... The key is enormous so this will not be a problem .

The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel entrance looks well kept.

We stayed in the basement room which was a bit noisy from the road traffic and people walking past but nothing that would keep you away at night. The room was a bit dull but nothing to unpleasant.

The breakfast room in the morning was overly full and being on a tight schedule mean we had to go somewhere else to keep to the deadlines.

Other then that it was a reasonable place to stay.

Room Tip: Basement suffers if there is a lot of traffic or passers by.

I don't understand how can this hotel be rated as 3 stars.I was supposed to stay 3 nights;  I checked out after the 1st; I wanted to check out before, but it was too late. The room is as small as a cheap university dorm with an all in one assembled plastic toilet / shower, just like an airplane toilet with a tiny shower included!!! You actually have to do "your things" With the door opened,  otherwise you don't have space to read your newspaper or just to have at least some centimeters between your nose and the door. The bed is as small as the room,  so as the "flat tv".Noises are included in the price,  you could hear your neighbors talking in phone, walking around, opening / closing doors etc...The wi fi is very poor, even in the second floor.I tried to call the reception,  but i couldn't. ..nor 0 or 9 worked. The whole floor including my room was smelly and walls need maintenance

We had baby COCKROACHES in our bathroom, no real apologies offered didn't even offer to make our stay bearable. Breakfast was terrible which was served by unfriendly staff who were quarreling with each other within earshot. What an awful experience for us coming from South Africa having to spend such a lot of money on a place like that, spoilt our holiday! Lots more to say but too disappointed. 1/7 - 7/7
