See my last review and the management response then.

Great hotel, great room, great atmosphere.

Here comes the same problem as last time.....one of the main reasons I like the hotel is its roof top bar...yet again ,despite the assurances following my last review the whole of the bar was closed to residents for a private event. Please I really do feel this is an issue you should notify at the time of booking as it is a key attraction for the hotel guests. Consider dedicating say 3 tables for residents only but you cannot have a guest who 100% of the times he has stayed here is politely ushered from the bar which is a key part of the reason for booking the stay....please sort it out because all else is damned good

Room Tip: junior suites are excellent

We dined there last Saturday as part of a Groupon deal and the menu looked good. Both my friend and I ordered a slow roasted bbq beef which going by the description sounded lovely.

However, the sauce which covered the beef was incredibly spicy and my friend was unable to eat the meat. She asked for an alternative meal as the dish wasn't described adequately and the chef refused; saying she had to buy another meal as it was one meal per voucher. in all my dining out experiences with any retailer offering deals, I have never heard such a reply.

in the hour we were in the restaurant, there was 1 table of 4 customers and when we left, it was empty. That that may tell you something.

Poor show from the Sanctum Soho.

Lovely hotel, decoration very much to my taste with Classic Rock magazines available for free. Food was fantastic and staff are very friendly. Only downside being the rooftop bar at night - full of London's rich and obnoxious. Not the hotel's fault of course but I'd give it a miss at night.

Went here for a meal and to use the cinema room with a group of work colleagues. Cinema room was great, superb seating and the meal after was very good. Worked out fairly pricey but worth an experience.

My wife booked us a two night break in the Sanctum, Friday and Saturday along with The Commitments show on the Saturday for a birthday present surprise. I did not know where we were staying until we arrived and WOW. We had a superior room, not that large but fabulous décor and a truly sumptuous, comfortable bed. Marty the Scottish concierge, sharply dressed in black with great waistcoat and bowler hat showed us to our room and gave us a great no nonsense introduction to all of the rooms facilities. What a completely different experience the Sanctum is. The presentation, decoration and accessories are all so quirky and unique which made the whole hotel experience so much different than to staying in a large chain hotels. Sorry can`t agree with the rude staff comment absolutely every member we met were friendly and polite. We ate in the hotel on Friday night and the food was excellent, well presented and at a good price. The drink prices were somewhat excessive but that's what you pay in London hotels and it was a special occasion. Don't know exactly how much it all cost but I have had a peak online and know that it was not cheap. But again it was a special birthday and a special weekend.
Did not use the Jacuzzi or roof top bar as it was booked on Saturday for a private function. No matter didn't bring our swimmies anyway. Would we go back, YES.

Room Tip: Go Superior at the back, third floor which is what we had. No view to speak of but we understand tha...

Booked a crash pad for the night on Sunday room 201.
Have stayed at a few crash pad rooms in hotels in London and this was the best we have experienced.
Great large bed and shower huge TV and more than enough room for anyone to enjoy.
Service was fabulous taken to our room by a Scottish bowler hat wearing gentleman, unusual to say the least for a London hotel but really welcoming and made our experience very special.
24 hour roof top bar and jacuzzi great idea but didn't get time to use them.
All in all! Well done

Double room means that they can 'just' squeeze a double bed in.
Breakfast included up to £14.50 but nothing on the menu near that price.
Rude staff.
Upgraded but checked out early in disgust. AVOID !!

Room Tip: Choose another hotel completely.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Today’s rock’n’roll hotel is less about threats of incidental bodily harm and more about a glamorously decadent atmosphere, and the new model is a place like the Sanctum Soho. Here it means a dash of modern minimalism, a sprinkling of baroque opulence, and an emphasis on the darker end of the color palette. The in-room electronics are totally up to date, while some throwback touches are retained for atmosphere’s sake. It’s a twenty-four-hour hotel with a liberal, tolerant service concept; what you want, you’ll get, without so much as a raised eyebrow. In that, it’s not so fundamentally different from some of London’s more conservative luxury hotels — it just feels naughtier. ... more   less
