“A brilliant long weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 December 2013

We had a Red Letter gift from my son as a present, and were undecided where to go.
As we had not been to London for a break for a long time we decided upon London.
I searched hotels offering Red Letter breaks, and happened upon the Bermondsey Hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially Amelia, and very patient explaining places to visit. I was even allowed to use the hotel computer to book the London Tour and attractions. Our room was excellent, great shower, Tv a bit temperamental but good..didnt watch much...too tired after walking most of the day. Bed very comfortable, and good aircon. As Arnie says ' i'll be back'

Breakfast was well organised and very filling...enough to last until our evening meal, after a small snack at lunchtime.
As we wanted to explore London, we decided to eat out during our stay, but this was no reflection on what the hotel offered I am sure.

We had a superb meal at Cote Restaurant London Bridge. Certainly not ripped off as I had expected )
We anticipate visiting London again in Spring, probably with friends, and will undoubtedly use the Bermondsey Hotel again. Only ten minutes walk to the Tower of London, or London Bridge Station.

Rather than just put photos of the hotel which can be obtained from the website, I have put some of my snaps of our weekend..forgive me if thats not cosher.

Room Tip: I dont think that it matters..I am sure that they are all of equal quality, or even better ones

Stayed here for one night on Saturday 14th December. It is such a great hotel. Staff were great, really friendly and helpful. Rooms were fab, comfy beds, brilliant bathrooms and really clean. The hotel is situated in a lovely area. There is a Sainsburys Local facing the hotel, the lovely Bermondsey Street is a minute walk away and London bridge is 5-10 minutes walk. Will definately stay here again.

Stayed here in September 2013. The hotel location is excellent for sightseeing along the Thames starting at London Bridge which is just a 5 minute walk away. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was the best I have ever had in any hotel throughout the world. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We booked this weekend through red letter for a two night break, I was excited having read the reviews and we weren't disappointed, the staff on reception were pleasant, didn't have too much dealings with the staff as when we go away we don't spend much time around the hotel, the room was lovely, comfortable and very clean, shower fab, there was not enough tea etc for us in the room, but we went to reception and asked for more and no problem staff only too willing to give us some more. The breakfast was very good, cooked breakfast was cooked fresh, there was plenty to eat, went off to london for the day with full tummies. The only small gripe was it was a little bit out, but once we found the correct buses tubes this was not a problem, you don't need to walk back to London bridge tube station to get into the centre of london, go over the car park in front of the hotel at the side of sainsburys and there are two buses that take you part way, then you can get tubes. Overall great weekend

Brilliant stay with company for rewards evening. Perfect base for the shard and fantastic views. Rooms were superb and very comfortable. Hotel is small but the staff were fantastic and the bar kept serving until early hours. Breakfast very good, plenty of choice. Will definitely return.

We booked a 2 night weekend stay and were not disappointed. Ten mins walk from the nearest tube station. We stayed on the 5th floor overlooking the square. Well appointed room, well designed with a large workstation area. Fridge with complimentary water. Comfortable bed with quality bedding and good pillows. Decent bathroom with large corner rainforest shower and nice toiletries. The room was quiet-no noise from bars in the square or from traffic.staff friendly and helpful. They held our luggage all day after checkout. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

I was on a business trip and stayed at the BSH because it was so close to work and very well connected. The hotel is a lovely structure in the square and some rooms face the square which is lively and really fun. I loved the breakfast options and I think the staff and management were very friendly. The rooms were perfectly laid out and ergonomic. The pressure in the shower was perfect, thought I have to add that at some point the shower head sprung a leak and dangerous sprayed water on the ceiling and on the overhead light fixture (I should also say, I did not bother to bring this to the notice of the management - my bad). The apple TV in the room is a treat, but really too small and too far away from the bed to really enjoy the experience. The toiletries are to say the least luxurious and in my experience better than in some 5 star hotels I have been to. All in all, I have simply love the experience and cannot wait till next year to stay there again.
