Great little hotel in a very useful location..you can walk into the city or along the river. A good base for exploring. Staff very helpful- professional and friendly. Specially reception..
Good value in a very expensive London. Great breakfast too..
Very glad we found it and would certainly return.
BTW there is no swimming pool but I couldn't untick the box!

Room Tip: Ask for view of the Shard.

Just got back from our first stay at the Bermondsey Square Hotel, London. Absolutely loved it. Although the room was small, it was spotlessly clean (as was the bathroom) and the beds were really comfortable. Our dinner was excellent and so was the breakfast. The staff were delightful - friendly and very helpful. We visited the nearby Borough Market - which was great. This stay was a gift from a family member as a Red Letter Day experience - so the value was terrific. Hope to go there again sometime soon.

Dear Pallisand23
I am pleased that you got the opportunity to enjoy the neighbourhood. Borough market is fantastic and only a short walk to the Southbank which is definitely worth a visit

Our second stay at this hotel. A gem of a hotel in an area of London we hadn't experienced before we used it to access a gourmet night at Zucca restaurant (summer 2013). This time it was a base for visits to the Matisse exhibition at Tate Modern. Lovely room (great view of the Shard), convenient for walks to Tate Modern, The Globe. A bit far out for more central touristy London, but even that isn't an issue. London Bridge Tube close enough. A vibrant area of London. Very helpful staff, the restaurant serves hearty breakfasts and good food at other times (Gregg Wallace connection). Will continue to use this as our base whenever we visit London to stay. Thoroughly recommended.

This is our third time at this lovely hotel, reception staff so welcoming staff in the lovely restaurant really good dinner and breakfast.Stayed in Lilly room simply brilliant London room with wrap around balcony and hammock all white and bling. Food really nice and ambience, will definitely go back.

Room Tip: The rooms on the 7th floor are great bit more expensive.

I stayed for one night with my wife in the Lucy Suite! I wanted to treat her to something special and it did not disappoint.

The service was outstanding. All our requests were met fully. The Hot Tub was a real treat. Thank you to the wonderful staff and management.

The room was massive and the terrace spanning the bedroom and the living area. The terrace was huge with spectacular views over the south of London, with views of the London eye from the Hot Tub. We were provided candles to put near the hot tub which was a nice touch.

I had to park 12 minutes away which was a bit of a walk. Wish they had designated parking, but I guess this is London, where space is a premium.

Amenities from bathroom products including bath salts, to tea making facilities where you can request fresh milk as opposed to UHT was a really nice touch.

The towel rail radiator in the bathroom was not working, we raised this with the staff, but never heard anything back. Just a little point as we went in the hot tub with our swimwear quite a lot of times.

Breakfast was delicious, and the waiting staff again, were very friendly.

My favorite part of the stay has to be the Hot Tub! Having your own private hot tub on the roof of the hotel, overlooking London plus beautiful weather...bliss!

Room Tip: Lucy Suite is the best room. Expensive, but worth the experience.

Pre-visit experience was great. Very helpful emailing between me and reservations to get things kicked off. Got us a Shard view room, but I forgot to ask about a bath. We don't have a bath at home...Photos and blurb on the website promised a funky-feel place with hip coolness at every turn. Also check out at 12 so no need to purchase the late check out at all. All good. Checked in efficiently, room not ready so went off for a wander around the square , full of bric a brac sellers in the Friday market. Room was fairly pokey, the decor absolutely unremarkable and showing signs of wear. My fault - no bath but a great wet roim shower. View of the Shard - check. Location is great but you will have quite a walk (10 minutes minimum) either from London Bridge or Bermondsey or even Tower Hill (that may be the closest tube). Breakfast we didn't bither with - the continental is very limited and the cooked will set you back £14, even booked ahead. We had a muffin and an excellent coffe both mornings at Hej, a Swedish coffee shop on the square. Not hugely impressed with the hotel and we have spent less for better elsewhere.

Dear TanjaTim
Thank you for your review, I appreciate your taking the time. Other than our suites, all of our rooms have been designed with "Drench" showers. This is partly due to space but was also a factor in our sustainability. I am very sorry that you were not informed in advance of your stay that if breakfast is pre booked it is only £9.80/person. I hope that we'll get the opportunity to rectify this on your next visit.
