“Good Thai near Shad Thames”
Reviewed 30 August 2012

Kai Thai is on a quiet street near Shad Thames and we had a great meal. The waiter seemed unsure about a cocktail we ordered but it was fine once it was brought to the table. This seemed like a quiet and mellow place and a good alternative as a change of pace from other Thai restaurants in the area.

“Great Thai food a few minutes' walk from Tower Bridge”
Reviewed 29 July 2012 via mobile

Went in with friends on impulse as a couple of us fancied Thai. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely restaurant - dark wood, waterfall, candles, great for a romantic date! Food was lovely - hot cassava prawn crackers to start, then I had green prawn curry. Spicy and fragrant, plump prawns, lots of fresh veg. Not the best Thai food I've ever had, but a million times better than Thai Square! And pretty good value - about £15/head including two bottles of wine.

“Good place for a quick business lunch”
Reviewed 6 May 2012

A client took me here, and we were given a choice of an £8.50 or £9.50 menu, both with plenty of options. The only thing I hadn't realised that it all came together, which meant I had to eat soup and main at the same time. They're happy to notch up the spice level, and service is efficient. I'd be happy to return one evening with a group to sample more of the dishes, but this is a great lunchtime option if you want a fast and light lunch.

“Good Thai”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

Went there with the family. Kids shared noodles with chicken and were happy. I had some spicy chicken and was happy. Wife ordered beef but got chicken (wich she didnt return but said was ok). Wine reasonanly priced (£23).
Overall a fine Thai restaurant.

“Good Thai food somehow not teeming with tourists”
Reviewed 24 March 2012

Condsidering it's proximity to Tower Bridge I am always amazed that this place is not teeming with camera toting tourists. They greet you with a smile and you are quickly seated. If you have any special requests (more spice!) they will happily accommodate.

Mains are reasonably priced, I feel the starters a bit overpriced though. The prawn crackers are amazing! Check out their lunch specials if you are around!
