Description: Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities. Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.

I only ate breakfast here, but if other meals are as good value for money and quality as that, this would be a great place to eat lunch or dinner, and they do have signs up indicating some very good value pre-theatre and lunch time meals.

This particular Cote (its a chain so quite a few of them) is just round the back of Aldwych, so its well placed for many theatres (practically trip out of the door into Shrek and Mamma Mia for example). I'd say the Covent Garden name is a slight misnomer, but it is only a couple of minutes walk away but not exactly what you'd say is the center of Covent Garden. But worth the walk.

Friendly and efficient service, enjoyed our breakfast here (as opposed to eye-watering prices at our hotel) so went back a second day, just as good. Scrambled eggs in particular were excellent.

Having failed to make a booking on a Friday night we chanced upon this branch of the well-known chain. The menu remains appealing and there were some excellent specials. The pre-theatre menu is excellent value (£14 for 3 courses) but we were too late and had a huge garlic bread to start and share, followed by 2 excellent cod main courses - the sides were also very tasty (honey glazed carrots and some lovely potato, bacon and onion combo). We were too full for puddings but look forward to returning to try out more dishes on the menu and the hot chocolate fondant dessert. The service was prompt and we only waited a matter of minutes on arrival to get a table as they re-set after the pre-theatre rush. All in all a very pleasant evening.

Went with friends after trip to theatre. We arrived early for our reservation but was shown a table prompty.ntook a while for order to be taken but then food arrived in Good time. Nice buzzin the restaurant and a real mixture of after work crowd and theatre crowd. Pre theatre menu offers about 4 starters, mains and puds and is good value for money. A friend asked to change her fries for veggiesand done with no hesitation. Will be back for sure.

Unfortunately there was a mix up with our online booking for a table for 2 at 8 pm but upon arrival the manager was very friendly and found us a table straight away even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Apparently problems with online bookings were common so we recommend good old fashioned phoning to book to make sure your booking is assured. From start to end the service and food was lovely and very reasonably priced for central London. The staff were friendly and attentive. We especially appreciated the complimentary Kir Royale when I explained this evening was a special night out prior to my daughter leaving home to go to University.... A really nice and thoughtful touch. We will definitely be returning ( booked by phone !) and recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

The price is right and the menu covers all tastes. Pre Theatre menu excellent value for money. Food is good and the wine list adequate. Major plus is that you can eat at anytime which helps with a baby, nap times and planning an evening out. Staff is friendly.
