I'm surprised (after eating there tonight) to see this restaurant so highly rated.
Starters - mixed plate of samosa, onion bajji and paneer. The paneer was good. The samosa was bought in and did not taste fresh. The bajji was probably home made, but had been re-heated. Served with a mango chutney that was definitely off (tasted very strange).
Mains - two currys, two breads and rice. Currys were OK, but not better. Much too sweet (even a dansak which is supposed to be sour). Breads quite good.
Service minimal. Plenty of staff, but have feeling that customers not treated with respect.
Most of the customers were tourists (like ourselves) did not see any locals eating there on a Friday night.
There must be better options than this......I've eaten in many Indian restaurants and would class this in the bottom 25%. Not the worst, but very far from the best and TA rating is not justified.
