Description: Like the Tavistock itself, Jacques Wine Bar is a remarkable little place. Relish its ambience and relaxed sophistication overlooking the gardens of one of London's prettiest squares. You'll be delighted with the prices, too. Our bistro-style menu is simple and tasteful. Popular dishes include chorizo and green bean salad, cinnamon lamb with couscous, and grilled chicken in a brandy sauce. Lighter lunchtime options include delicious quiches and soups. And remember to ask about our daily specials! Celebrate your arrival in London with a great value bottle of Chablis or Sancerre. Then stroll out into leafy Tavistock gardens, confident that you found the best deal in town.

Part of the Tavistock Hotel - nice location, and attractive outdoor tables too. Menu is well chosen and not overpriced. House wine particularly good value at £2 per glass and quite decent. Service is friendly and efficient. Desserts not so good, but I often find that to be the case.

Jacques Wine Bar is situated in the Tavistock Hotel - we went in 2 or 3 times during our recent stay in London and found that the food and drinks were of a high quality and the staff very attentive and polite

After the rowdiness of the London pub we looked forward to have a nice glass of wine on the terrace here but boy where we surprised, the terrace was closed and the set up was more of a cafe, we where handed menus and then left for 20 minutes and no one came back to take our order even for a drink so we walked out!

Too tired to go far, so used nearest eatery. Bad mistake. Food dismal and service sluggish. Staff very pleasant, but kitchen seemed disorganised so one of us got the main course 20 mins before the other, not at all comfortable for one to watch the other eat, then vice versa.
