So Rosas Thai has appeared in Tooting and whilst it looks nice the food is abysmal... a pad thai that was stodgy and bland.. absolutely no flavour at all.. dry chicken and solmw crispy bits I couldn't identify. My husbands meal was meant to be flat noodles... tasted and was as thick as pasta.. he had to add a load of chilli just to give some flavour.. do yourself a favour and go to the BYOB thai down the road Kaosarn which is a damn site better than this.. will not be returning.

At nearly £9.00 the portion of chicken in this PaiThai was disgusting, 4 small chunks of chicken, never walked out of a restaurant before, but it was just a complete rip off, no wonder it’s empty. This kind of running of a restaurant... well will be closed within a year. Tooting does not suffer fools lightly, especially with all kind of cuisine at half the price & better. Advice, don’t go, food a real disappointment.

My daughter took out for a treat and said lets try the new thai cafe, which was literally around the corner from our house. We arrived at 7.30pm and it took 25mins to take our otder and an hour to receive our food. Wgen we asked on mire than one occasion when are we getting our food, we got its coming and placed a bowl of prawn crackers on the house, they said. Wow I said. In my mind prawn crackers ate normally served free on the table anyway, so to me it wasnt good enough of an apology nor a goodwill gesture. Will never go back there and the food was not up to scratch anyway for thai food.

First visit to the Rosa's Thai cafe in Tooting on Friday. On the positive side, the staff and ambience, decor etc were fine, although it was spoilt slightly by the constant coming and going of deliveroo/just eat delivery guys in motor bike gear. However, the food we ordered was very overpriced for quite basic Thai food.

The sticky rice (£4) portion was miniscule and seriously overcooked - had to break it apart with a spoon to eat it! The stir fried aubergine (£8.50) - massive chunks of soggy, greasy aubergine - we were really hungry but couldn't eat it. The chicken wings starter looked and tasted like something from KFC.

To be fair, the massaman beef curry was nice, and the prawn crackers were ok. But at a total of £65 (including wine) for two people, this was a very disappointing evening and we won't be returning.

I don't mind paying a bit more for good food, but this is very average food that's over priced. Had the Thai sausage starter as it was a recommended dish on the menu, for the price of a main, you would expect the portion size to be bigger but it wasn't, sausage was just a lot of heat not much other flavours. The lettuce that came with it looked old and had brown bits on it. The chilli and basil main leaves your taste buds falling asleep. I've been to Thailand many times, and this food is very uninspiring and disappointing.
