This is a very acceptable restaurant in a part of London not exactly teeming with decent places to eat. A big plus is that there is no loud music so you have a fighting chance of having a proper conversation. On my last visit I had a good crab pate with sour dough bread toasted perfectly, followed by a delicious summer pudding with icecream. My companion has what looked like an enormous chickem sandwich. The chips are not bad. Total for 2 including 2 soft drinks £40 which for these parts is not bad. Service very friendly and prompt. There is an extensive wine list. Nice outside area somewhat marred at the moment by all the noise from neighbour building work/lorries etc.
