Description: A traditional English pub in the heart of London's Business District George Pub is no more, Lady Abercorn's Pub & Kitchen is here. A destination for the curious, Lady Abercorn's takes its name from an iconic sassy, strong and caring landlady from the neighbourhood, with delights and discoveries to be made by those who know how to ask. Influences from her travels around the globe *hint, hint* can be found in the décor and on the menu. Celebrating the local area, Lady Abercorn’s serves beer from local breweries and even brew our own, the Lady A, a light IPA. Available both in a bottle and on tap, is an ideal tipple to accompany food or to be enjoyed as a casual drink.

Had an excellent evening in The George Pub by Liverpool Street station - food, beer and service all of great standard. Tried the burger with blue cheese spread, while my friend had the steak sandwich - both very impressive.

Was also showing the England game on Wednesday evening, but a good mix of city workers and more casual fans in made it a good atmosphere.

Lovely traditional pub and would definitely pop back in when in the area.

right by Liverpool Street - so convenient to meet friends before catching the train home - good range of proper beer - prices a little steep.

For a hotelbar it's ok but i have seen better ones. If you like to have a drink nearby you should go across the street ;-)

This pub is adjacent (and part of) the Andaz Hotel but still has a really good atmosphere - not too swanky but very warm and friendly. Good for the boys to have a drink whilst they wait for the girls to finish getting ready!

I love this place. I ate here several times over two separate trips in July 2012 and September 2012. The beer selection is pretty good - but the Strongbow on tap sealed the deal for me. They do serve pub food - the fish & chips is particularly good, as is the Cherry Sundae, which I tried on the recommendation of my server, and wasn't disappointed. The pace picks up in the evenings - a local business crowd descends on the pub for a pint or two before going home, and it can get noisy as most pubs do.
