“What a find!”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

We were staying in the Earls Court area on a recent visit to London, and fell into this restaurant by accident because the thai restaurant next door had closed down. What a find! The szechuan dishes we ordered were perfect - spicy and tasty. The crispy fried duck with szechuan peppercorn was fantastic, and the braised sea bass also really food. We will definitely visit this gem again! The waitress needs to smile a little, though.

“Fantastic food and good value”
Reviewed 10 June 2013

We found this restaurant by chance tucked down a side street off of Earl's Court Road - and what a great find! The food was of a very good standard, extremely tasty and really good value. Seems to be frequented by a lot of Chinese people so that's a good sign. The restaurant itself is fairly cramped and basic, but the good food more than makes up for that.

“Authentically Chinese, delicious food, large portions, tiny prices, good service”
Reviewed 5 June 2013

Authentically Chinese, unlike most Chinese restaurants in Europe, which are more European versions of Chinese restaurants than pure Chinese. I was the only European there tonight. Delicious food, large portions, tiny prices, good service.

“Great Chinese Food & Reasonably Priced”
Reviewed 3 June 2013

We ate here twice during a 10 day stay in Kensington & really enjoyed both visits. The restaurant like many near the Earl's Court tube stop is pretty small, but it obviously enjoys a loyal crowd as it was always full or near full when we ate there. Good Chinese food, extensive menu and reasonable prices. When paired with the Tsingtao beer you can't go wrong. We'll eat there again the next time we're in London.

“Good food, terrible service”
Reviewed 8 May 2013

I'm giving them an "average" rating because the food was pretty good and reasonably priced IF you can endure the service. I don't know if the server we had was just having a bad night, but she was nearly unable to take our order, deliver it or allow us to pay for it. There was a lot of eye-rolling, long sighing, frowning, and general despondency. Not once did we get a smile, a "thank you for coming in" or any such courtesy. It was so bad, it was comical. We did not tip anything in addition to the applied service charge and understand completely why they must apply it, otherwise they wouldn't be able to collect a penny.

The food wasn't exceptional, but it was well prepared and met our expectations. The portions were reasonable. There was a large variety on the menu and which seems to be typical for the area. There was definitely a Szechuan-spicy focus.

If you are staying in the neighborhood and want a quick meal of Chinese food, give it a shot. If you have other options, use them.
