A friend and I stayed in this hotel overnight (£30 each). We were pleasantly surprised for what we got considering it was so affordable.
The decor was dated but the rooms were spotless. The beds were comfy and had nice clean white bedding.
The staff were very friendly and polite both in reception and at breakfast.
There was no cooked breakfast and you helped yourself to cereal, juice and coffee and the girls provided hot toast. Personally this suited me fine as I never eat cooked anyway!
The location was safe and very near Earl's Court tube station. Off the main road there are some very beautiful Georgian and Regency houses with lots of quaint mews houses painted in Farrow and Ball colours which I loved.
Perhaps the only pitfall was the stairs. We were in room 24 which was on the third floor up winding stairs so if you had any mobility problems this could be an issue.
I would definitely use this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst we went to Earls Court only 5 minutes walk away. Drove up from Plymouth and very easy to find. Very helpful staff allowed us to park up and check in at 09.30 so we didn't waste any of the day. Room 5 very convenient behind reception was clean and tidy, quiet overnight with comfy beds and good value for £60.00 including cereal/toast breakfast served by cheery staff. Also location good for bus route to Westfield shopping centre - If needed well known hyper markets close by. Definitely use again when visiting this part of London.

Room Tip: Rooms 2,3,4,5,6,7 are ground floor Only 3 parking spaces so book if one required

I stayed in room #11A on the second floor. The room was tiny but I couldn't expect anything else for the price paid. It was clean, well-maintained and had a large screen TV. The location was excellent, safe & nice area, close to tube and restaurants, pubs, little shops etc. Central London approximately 4-5 tube stops away.

Minus points: the hotel had only two common showers, which made it a bit difficult for me. One was in the basement and the other one on the top floor meaning no shower on my floor. I think it would make things a lot easier if each floor had a shower. Also, there was only one big towel in the room, no small towel for washing hands/face which would have been useful but that's a small detail anyway.

Breakfast. For the price paid - can't complaint. Cereal, milk, toasts, jam and coffee/tea/juice.

Overall, I would stay there again for no longer than a few nights as showering was quite an issue for me.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor so you'd be closer to shower :)

We stayed in room #5 on the main floor and we're completely content. The room was huge by European standards. The beds were comfy and clean. The room had a big window and was nice and bright in the morning (there are heavy curtains if you like darkness). Our room was cleaned well each day and towels were restocked. The shower was small, but bearable. One night it was a little noisy in the hotel (doors slamming, loud talking and laughing), but I think it depends alot on what other guests are staying in the hotel. The hotel staff were ok. There were a few different people that worked at the desk over the 5 days we stayed there. Some were friendly and helpful. Others were just there - not rude, but certainly not friendly.

The location is great. It's just a couple minutes walk to the Earl's Court tube station, so a few minutes train ride to most attractions in central London. There are a couple supermarkets nearby, and many restaurants. There are also pharamacies and a few other little shops nearby.

It was inexpensive by London standards, and I am happy with what we got for what we paid.

All average, just the basics to avoid complaints even if the smell in the room was like being in a toilet..
We had a double for £70: too expensive for what you get, but location is actually good.
Breakfast at least was fine but not loads of food available.. Just toasts.

Stayed at the "Manor" 28/2/12-3/3/12
Good points:Cheap (85 pounds/night double with en suite), Location, 5mins. to Earl's Court tube station, many restaurants and pubs within ten mins.,lots of hot water in bathroom, breakfast girl is nice.
Bad points: No elevator and you can get a room on the 3rd flr (steps steep and narrow),walls very thin (you can almost hear the next room's occupants breathing).Busy location (lots of sirens and noise), bad bed, mattress gave me aweful backache, breakfast a bit "sketchy" OJ,cereal, toast, coffee and tea.
All in all I would say average for what you pay.

Room Tip: Get ground floor or as low as you can.

Not a posh spot by any means but it's conveniently located near Earl's Court tube station, the price is right, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A short walk to a variety of restaurants, pubs, ATMs, and the EasyJet bus stop to Gatwick. There's no lift so, if you have heavy luggage or a problem with stairs, make sure to ask for a lower floor. I've stayed here four times and will definitely return next time I'm in London. Be prepared to pay on arrival. Bottom line: comfortable and convenient place to sleep for a good price but definitely no frills.
