The location. The staff. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. Our first few days were spent at the adjacent/connected sister hotel, The Grand. We had a last minute cancellation for a trip to another country and the staff went above and beyond for us. Our cellphones from the States weren't working (nor was Skype) and they allowed us to use their phones for British Airways cancellation and making dinner reservations for that evening. They were gracious and wonderful. The rooms are small (no shocker there) but nice and well-equipped. The location is sensational. Convenient for walks in the area where there are restaurants and pubs and a block away from the Tube. Could not have had a better experience.

Stayed here three times in past month combination of business and leisure trips. It's good value and the location (just off Trafalfar Square ) is great. Reception staff are friendly. Rooms are always clean. I did notice a big difference in size of room I am normally allocated for work (biggish for London!) and room at back of hotel that I got on week end rate (far more cramped and 'view' of ugly rooftops). Ate dinner once in restaurant and it was good value, interesting menu and tasty. Bathrooms nothing to get excited about but fine to keep you clean! Safe bet.

Room Tip: Some rooms definitely smaller than others!

From what I understand, pricing for this hotel could depend on deals that individual businesses have in place with Club Quarters. In my case, this hotel turns out to be a very good deal price/quality wise and I have stayed in it multiple times. Service in this hotel may seem a bit business like, but for experienced London travelers this is all you need. Check-in can be done either by terminal or face-to-face, rooms are standard, but of good quality. I stayed at the street side and could hear almost no noise. However, the A/C in the room was quite loud though. The room has a microwave for those who want to grab a quick bite, and the hotel has free wifi (which is quite unique in London!).

Location cannot be beaten, breakfast is good and quick, as is the check-in and -out process. The chain is US owned, with is reflected in some American staff and some little quirks (where is the first floor!?!); but overall this turns out to be a positive.

Overall: Good business hotel, turning into my favorite hotel in London.
Positives: Location, location, location - and free wifi!
Negatives: Noisy A/C

Astonishing location: Trafalgar Square, easy walk to theatres and West End

Great decor, very ornate lobby. The rooms were clean & well equipped.

Very simple model (I mean that as a compliment):, all the facilities are there but no fuss or fancy. minimal staff but that is fine.

very, very good value - i will definitely stay there again

serch and serch a hotel in London for weekend, they were very expensive, very bad or very far from center. We went to a Concert in O2 Arena, but we want a hotel in center todo a little tourism also, finally i find this, It didn't seem so expensive, have good reviews, so I booked. And it was more than expected! very very very clean, a more that enough big bed, and very quiet. It supossed to be fully booked months before, but we didn't see people around.. Small bathroom but enough. Perfect location, restaurants, cheaps and expensive, all around, bars, shops...and usefull metro station just 2 steps by. Staff correct, only thing i didn't like, is that we ask for taxi to go to train station, they send us a guy with particular car, that charged us 15 punds...i'm sure a normal taxi woul be cheper, but ok, we get there... We dind't have breakfast there, you don't need pay it, when you can get decent breakfast at kfk, mcdonals, garfunkels... if i'm back to London...Will repeat! Tip: search prices, you will see lots of diferents in diferents webs, us were 213 pounds 2 people 2 nights.

We booked this hotel using hotwire and received excellent value. The location and room were great. We got the sense, however, that we were being treated like second class guests. The staff were not very friendly or helpful.

We were very lucky and booked this several times last year for weekends in London. We LOVED it. This is a really nice boutique hotel that is primarily business M-F and often available on weekends. The corner rooms are more spacious, but both rooms we had were really well equipped and comfortable and the location is as good as it gets - we walk from Waterloo no problem and the tube station is about 2 blocks away.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are more spacious
