We could not have wished for much more from this hotel. It has a great location near Moorgate tube and Liverpool Street station and is only a short walk from Bankside with lots of great restaurants. It was very convenient for visiting the Olympic Park. Parking nearby at the London Wall underground car park was quite reasonably priced for the city too.

We had a superior room - Best TV we have ever had in a hotel room (We stayed whilst the Olympics were on and watched each evening). Lovely bathroom with large walk-in shower and big bathtub, with the rubber duck of course. There is a good bar with a wide selection, but watch out for steep service charges after midnight (I assume this is standard in the area though). Nice touches included, e.g. facility to make a wider variety of hot drinks in the room and toileteries/Bose Ipod dock - Even a back scratcher is included! Wifi had a strong signal and was reliable, but you had to enter the password every time you came back to the hotel.

The only thing I would say is that we were near to some kind of service/cleaning cupboard and at some times of day we could hear noise when in our room. However, this didn't really detract from a hotel in a fab location. Very busy Lawyer/banking area during the week, with everything open. Most immediately local shops were closed at the weekend - but you aren't far from plenty that is open!

We didn't eat in the Hotel restaurant, but it seemed attractive and appealing with a good menu. There is a great steakhouse nearby too. I liked the hotel's overall concept and look forward to visiting other Apex hotels in London soon! Service was polite, friendly, dynamic and courteous from all staff that we met. Excellent value for money - Worth booking via Trivago to get best rates. The hotel website, although more expensive, offers you £10 credit. It reminded me of a trendy hotel where we stayed in Manhattan with a similar concept.

Room Tip: The most expensive rooms have balconies, but the Superior rooms open to views of the city.

Dear SteveR,

We were delighted to have read your glowing report following your recent visit to the Apex London Wall Hotel.

It was extremely pleasing to see that you felt we exceeded your expectations in delivering a high quality service and product offering and that represented excellent value for money. As you correctly alluded to the city is quiet on the weekend, but close enough that a short walk or tube ride from the hotel will see you in the hustle and bustle of either the East or West end within minutes.

We would encourage you to consider booking direct with us on your next visit so that you have the opportunity of taking advantage of the £ 10.00 credit voucher you highlighted whilst still enjoying our best available rates and packages.

I do hope that we have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon.

Yours sincerely,

We stayed here for one night 14th September whilst in London celebrating my Birthday and loved the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially on reception. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room as it was my Birthday, and there was even a card and chocolates in the room waiting for me! The room and the bathroom both had the wow factor, gorgeous dressing gowns and slippers, beautiful furnishings, Elemis toiletries, tea, coffee, mineral water and snacks. Dinner was good, breakfast great! I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the staff who made my Birthday stay special. We will definitely stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Apex London Wall Hotel for three nights with my family during the Olympics and have to say that I found everything far beyond expectation.
The service and attention to detail provided by Simon Davis and his staff was exceptional and it came as little surprise to me when checking back on TripAdvisor that the hotel sits in the top 10 London hotels currently listed on the site.
Although the hotel is situated in the City of London it is only a short walk to the Underground, and the hotel's location in a quiet street off London Wall resulted in a perfect night's sleep.
I understand from speaking to Mr Davis that the hotel offers particularly good value at weekends, and for anyone looking beyond the West End they'd be hard pressed to find better value or service.
I have visited London many times for all sorts of reasons find myself staying in different hotels perhaps because of the huge choice available.
The London Wall Hotel is without doubt one of the hotels you would wish to visit again and I will hopefully have the pleasure of staying there again in the future.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are good at the Apex London Wall.

I stayed at the Apex London Wall after obtaining a great rate using Secret Escapes. The room was very impressive with luxury furnishings, a big cosy chair as well as a desk and chair, and the bathroom was great. There was a large walk-in shower and a large bathtub also, and the free Elemis toiletries were a nice touch.

The bed was comfortable and the room facilities were good, including an iron and ironing board in one of the wardrobes, a very large plasma TV, and a good mirror in the desk for make-up.

The reception staff were very accommodating as we arrived a couple of hours before check-in and they were able to find us a room which was ready within 15 minutes.

We had breakfast included in our room rate which was amazing. It was table service rather than a buffet breakfast, however you could have many items off the menu if you are hungry. I enjoyed the pancakes with maple syrup, a pain au chocolate and a platter of fruit. There were many different options available such as hot items including Full English breakfasts, porridge, cereals etc, so you would have no problem finding something you fancy.

The location is brilliant, especially as this area of London is quite quiet at weekends since it's a predominantly business area. Even at midnight there was little noise outside and none in the room. It's easy to get the tube from various nearby stations, and tourist attractions such as the Museum of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Spitalfields Market and the Tower of London are within walking distance.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you can get rooms at a good rate.

Dear Sleepfan,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at the Apex London Wall Hotel. It is always pleasing to note when our customers have enjoyed a quality "best rest" experience. Our cul de sac position on Copthall Avenue means that we have minimal traffic disturbance affording a relaxing nights sleep, whilst still having a number of fantastic public transport options within a short distance to ensure you can enjoy the hustle and bustle London has to offer.

We were happy to hear that you enjoyed our A'La carte breakfast offering and in particular our pancakes with maple syrup which is a very popular choice with so many of our customers. When you are planning your return visit, do remember to book through our official Apex website for our best available rates and packages, and you will be able to take advantage of our special offer complimentary £ 10.00 voucher to use in our Bar or restaurant during your stay with us.

We very much look forward to having you back with us.

Stayed here for one night and was very impressed by the hotel. Our room was spacious and very tastefully decorated with a king size bed and good quality bedlinen and towels. The bathroom was superb with a bath and walk-in shower.

The staff were very friendly in a genuine way. The breakfast was the best I have had in London, served at the table. The evening meal was also very good and again we were served by friendly staff.

Everything about this hotel was very tasteful - even the delivery of the paper was hung on the door handle in a black bag - not lying on the floor outside as in so many other hotels.

I wasn't familiar with the area when I booked, but was pleasantly surpirsed to find it to be so close to the centre of London. Five minutes walk to Bank or Moorgate tube stations. We even walked to St. Paul's Cathedral which took ten minutes. The area is lovely and quiet at weekends. Will be back.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be good, unlike other hotels there are no shoddy standard rooms.

We were please that you enjoyed your experience and felt that our quality and upkeep of product was to a high standard were matched by the genuine friendly manner of service, which each of our team endeavour to deliver on a daily basis.

The underground stations of Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bank are all within a few minutes’ walk meaning the West End is only an 8 minute tube ride away.

We hope you had a pleasant journey back to Southport and look forward to having you back with us on your future visits.

My London office had booked this hotel for me telling me it was close to our office. They were not kidding. Less than a 5 minute stroll from Old Broad Street. Perfect. Friendly reception and a nice bar area for unwinding in the evening.

A bit disorganized service for breakfast in the morning as varies items arrive at different times. They can improve on this with better training of the waiting staff. On the expensive side also as everything in London it would seem. The reception, bar and floor staff were all great.

Will be back for sure as the room was convenient and efficient with the required amenities for work.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor as I like opening my window at night and being on the 2nd floor could here the...

We booked this hotel through The Daily Telegraph 'hand picked' travel section, so a very good price for a London hotel but it far exceeded our expectations. The staff are exceptional - immaculately turned out, friendly, professional and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble - is this thanks to 'in house' training? if so, well done! - you should start a training scheme for other hotels. A special mention for Daniel who was an absolute star - a young man who surely must go far in the hospitality business.

This hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Moorgate station, in the business area, so very quiet at weekends, which is great for a peaceful nights sleep but if its night life you want then you will have to travel a little - it suited us fine.

The rooms are superb - very comfortable, beautifully designed and furnished, modern with co-ordinated bed linens and curtains - all top quality. There is also a lovely flat screen TV mounted on the wall and a Bose I-pod stand. A well stocked mini-bar but prices rather steep - £17.50 for a half bottle of fairly ordinary wine, £3.50 for a small can of tonic etc - I'm sure more people would avail themselves of hotel mini- bars if the prices were a little more realistic - but not a major gripe. There is also a very simple to operate safe in the built in wardrobes. The room had AC but operated very quietly.

The good sized, very modern bathroom is a delight, with a separate bath and walk-in shower, fluffy towels and a lovely selection of Elemis toiletries, plus of course the Apex duck. Dressing gowns were also provided but we did not use them.

Our room on the 4th floor overlooked the road where a building opposite is being renovated but due for completion fairly soon but any work certainly did not disturb us.

The public rooms and restaurant are lovely - one of the nicest restaurants we have been to in any London hotel. The tables in the restaurant are set into 'mini -rooms' so give a much more intimate feel to the dining experience and each large window facing the street has a bowl of beautiful white orchids - indeed each table has a very simple but stunning contemporary flower
arrangement as do all the tables in the bar, which presumably are changed on a regular basis as they looked so fresh - a lovely touch which just added to the whole look of the rooms. We also liked the lighting - enough for you to see exactly what you are doing but subdued enough to create a good ambiance.

The food itself is excellent. There is a superb choice at breakfast catering for all tastes which is served at your table - no buffet breakfast here where food has sat for ages and been picked over- my fruit platter was beautifully served as was the 'full English'. Only complaint? the tea is a bit weak - for the size of pot it really does need at least two tea bags!!

We also ate in the Restaurant for 2 of our evening meals and the experience was just as good - not the widest choice in the world but again beautifully served. Service was very good, staff attentive without being intrusive and we felt the menu offered good value for money. After a day trudging round London it was good to come back to the hotel, shower and know that all we had to do to eat was go downstairs.

All in all a wonderful experience in a most comfortable hotel, within easy reach of the underground and main line stations. Most certainly we would recommend it to others and most certainly, if we see it at the right price, it would be our hotel of choice for visiting London, so many, many thanks to all those who work so hard, front of house, house-keeping etc to make it such a lovely hotel - it was a real pleasure to stay there.
