“Great Hotel in the Financial District”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2013

We stayed at the Apex for a long Thanksgiving weekend for personal reasons and expected a nice but boring, unimaginative hotel catering to business people. We were very pleasantly surprised. I had booked a Deluxe Double room but on check-in we were upgraded to room 711. The room while small had floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides, a huge balcony with plastic chairs and table. The king bed was extremely comfortable with great pillows and nice sheets. The bathroom was large with a stand alone deep bath tub and huge walk-in shower. The only negative is the lack of drawers and limited closet space for clothes. I loved all the light in the room from the large windows but the hotel is surrounded by office buildings and from the room we could look out and see people working in their offices. I suspect that if they looked out their windows they might have seen us in our room but only during office hours. It would have been really nice to get an bottle of wine and sit out on the balcony but hey this was London in November! The breakfast included in the our rate was superb. There was a reasonable buffet plus you could order just about anything from the menu. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening and we were surprised at the menu options and quality of the food. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful, friendly and exceedingly polite. There are many amazing hotels in London but if you have a need to stay in this area (walking distance from Moorgate Tube Station) I would highly recommend the Apex.

Room Tip: Room 711 is a great room with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides and has a large balcony

My Husband and I stayed at this hotel in one of the Junior Suites. The suite was beautiful, with a 42" tv in the living area and bedroom, and a Bose sound system. We didnt make use of the balcony as it was rather cold outside.
The bath was huge and the shower came with all sorts of different jets.
The super king bed was very comfy, with us getting 10 hours sleep, something we arent used to with having a toddler!
All the staff were attentive and welcoming.
We had cocktails in the bar which were lovely, and average price for a London hotel. Room service was a little slow, especially considering the hotel was quiet, but wasnt expensive and had plenty of choice.
The area surrounding the hotel shuts down at the weekend, so you will have to either get the Tube to a restaurant or eat at the hotel.
There is a Tesco Express and Sainsburys local within walking distance of the hotel, along with a McDonalds.
We will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic warm and friendly welcome and lots of smiles all round, nothing to much trouble.
Great room all that you could want.
Fantatic breakfast we had the full english and continental as we stayed for two nights, both to a really high standard, service & smiles at no extra cost...!!!!
We will without a doubt be going back...!!!
Highly reccommended - you wont be dissapointed.
Thanks you :-)

I had a five star experience. The room was beautiful, the service was fantastic, every single member of staff with a bright and welcoming smile on their faces, very friendly. I couldn't possibly fault anything about our stay in this hotel. Thank you for making our evening a special one :-)

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend at Apex London Wall. This was a lovely quiet hotel, the staff could not put themselves out enough to be helpful and friendly. Our room was beautifully furnished and very very comfortable, it was spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly want there. We found our stay to be outstanding value for money and consider this hotel a real find that really made our weekend special, thank you Apex London Wall.

My wife and I arrived at 1030am expecting just to drop off our bags until 2pm when the rooms are due to be ready. However, we were told that some rooms were available straight away and we were shown to our room which was really welcome after a 5.30am start to our day in Edinburgh. This was the first of many unexpected nice surprises. Once in the room we were absolutely astounded by the quality of both furnishings and decor and the spaciousness was a further delight. The bathroom was huge and well stocked with quality soaps and toiletries. The location is only 5 minutes slow walk from Moorgate tube station and is well placed for heading out into the city centre or beyond. I would, without hesitation, highly recommend this hotel to anyone. All of the staff we met were friendly, courteous and delivered a level of customer service which is so lacking in today’s society. In conclusion, this hotel is a gem and you will enjoy your stay.

Stayed at the hotel with my partner in order to visit the theatre on a saturday night. Great superior room! Bed was one of the best beds we have slept in!!! All the stuff you need for a pleasant stay. Quiet at night and reception was very helpful and polite. Complimentary pringles and jelly beans made our day :) Definately recommend to anyone.
