“Excellent hotel, best choice in London so far!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

I recently stayed here over a long weekend break. The hotel although pre dominantly business orientated mid week proved that it can also cater very well for a young family. The service delivered by all staff was second to none, who were always going the extra mile to ensure our experience far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very well maintained and it is nice to see that the team and owning company are continually re investing in the product. The rooms are well equipped with Bose docking stations, Nespresso machines, power showers and deep stand alone baths. The beds are of an amazing comfort and the bed linen is of a high quality as are the fabrics and furnishings. The central location of the hotel means that is fantastically connected to the rest of London from Bank, Liverpool and Moorgate tube stations. I will certainly re visit when returning to the city.

Very helpful checking in staff. Room was immaculate with all the little extra amenities you need to make your stay more comfortable, elemis toiletries, free DVD rental, newspapers etc. Room was very quiet with an extremely comfortable bed. Ate in the restaurant one night, food was beautiful and again staff were lovely. No complaints.

A fantastic hotel in the business district of London. Close to all local transport links and amenities. The hospitality provided by all the staff were fantastic and particularly the suggestions by the concierge of places to visit during the weekend was greatly appreciated. Breakfast food was of a high quality and the restaurant team displayed a huge passion and enjoyment of their job. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a that little added personal touch during their stay.

We were visiting London prior to a river cruise. We thought this hotel was closer to the city center but still enjoyed our visit. The rooms were lovely and the hotel staff helped us find our way around. However, it was a bit challenging on the weekend as many of the restaurants in the area were closed. The bathroom was wonderful with a tub and a shower.

I stayed for 2 nights Apex London Wall and could not have been more impressed with the hotel, I had previously stayed at an Apex in Edinburgh so already knew it was going to be high standard but London Wall exceeded my expectations.

Just a 5 or 6 minutes walk from Moorgate underground station brings you to the hotel in a relatively quiet street just off Moorgate (road) , check-in was a breeze, the person dealing with me friendly, polite and very helpful. Morning papers are offered.

The room was a good size, with a good sized bathroom with separate shower and bath. controllable air conditioning also works well, (which was very useful as it was quite warm outside given the recent pollution/sahara sand issue).

The room is floored in wood and a carpeted area around the bed, with a sofa at the foot of the bed in front of a 40" TV. Two large windows illuminate the room. Wardrobe space is ample, complete with an iron, ironing board, shoe cleaning and sewing kit just in case! The room also features a large desk with wired internet access as well as Wifi for working.

There is a separate bar and restaurant downstairs, both with modern decor, the bar was quite busy after 5:30 on weekdays has quite a good vibe when the music turned up, later the bar quietens down and by 10pm nice and relaxing - the bar staff are excellent, friendly and happy to help (ask for a Long Island Ice Tea, it's not on the menu but they'll make it anyway!)

Breakfast is served in the restaurant and was very nice, the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere (but this was Saturday so possibly the hotels quietest day?) and again, the staff very helpful.

Room service was quick and didn't cost the earth, just what you need after an 18 hour stint in the office.

Check out was easy, the receptionist very friendly and I would have taken up the offer to leave my bags for the rest of the day and do a bit of sight seeing had I not had to catch a train.

This is a great hotel and I would happily recommend it.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel, was in a great location for a stay in London. Rooms were amazing.
The staff were helpful and extremely friendly. The breakfast is a must! Overall we had a great stay and it made the weekend. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

Stayed at the hotel for 3.5 weeks on a business trip.

Location
Smacked between Moorgate and bank underground. The journey to either station is about 7 mins. The walk is relatively easy and safe on the main streets with crowd visibility. Access to the west end is easy using the central line while circle and district from bank gets you almost everywhere in the city centre.

Facilities
Small gym with two treadmill running machines, one rowing machines and dumb bells. There is also a hotel restaurant with decent food but relatively pricey. Laundry service is available and can be done within a day. Internet access is free with wifi and is reasonably fast.

Service
Prompt service with very friendly staff be it counter or doorman. The toiletries are replaced quickly while small items are also replenished for free (crisps, water, sweets) every day.

Nearby amenities
If you reckon that hotel laundry service is expensive, you can always go to the laundromat near the junction of Moorgate and Great Swan Alley. There is also a post office there with forex service. Food wise there is Galvin La Chapelle at Old Broad Street, Jamie's on threadneedle and One Lombard Street. Sandwiches are also available such as Eat, Prets and if you really want macdonalds then head for the junction of London Wall and Moorgate.

Nearby sights within walking distance
St Paul's, London wall, millennium bridge, Tate, tower bridge, Tower of London (10-15mins)
