Owner description: Ripping Yarns have been the leading Jack the Ripper tour into Whitechapel for over 25 years. We remain a small Company who believe that small Group Sizes and personal interaction will surpass your expectations, as opposed to the Larger Advertised Companies who now Operate in the area. The Tour is recommended in the Rick Steves Guide book to London. The cost is just £8.00, Where else could you get a great night in London for that price? But perhaps the best measure of the Tour comes from our many customers. which are a fitting testament to the level of satisfaction. All the Guides are serving Yeoman Warders (Beefeaters) at the Tower of London, so you can be assured that your Guide knows how to conduct a tour properly and "tell a tale" the content is such that it weaves the story of Jack the Ripper, the social background and the history of the area, helping to paint the most vivid mental picture of life and death in London's East End, this is backed up by Crime Scene Photographs, Letters and Evidence, you will not just get some "off pat script" or gimmicks but an up close and personal story.

After spending the day at the Tower of London we decided to do a jack the ripper tour ..but not any tour .We went with ripping yarns ,who are yeoman from the Tower .We had a fantastic time with the guide who was very knowledgeable with the history and the drama of the events as they unfolded. I have and will suggest this tour to all my friends.

“Opened my eyes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

I've been living in East London for more than a year and had been to many of these places before but had never noticed the tiny scraps of history still visible all around. Our guide Dickie took us on an amazing journey, cleverly revealing the East End of the 19th Century while spinning a detailed history of the infamous 'Autumn of Terror' and the ongoing mystery surrounding the Jack the Ripper murders. Easily the best tour I've done in London and amazing value at £8.

“Entertaining, fun and informative”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

Dickie kept our small group entertained with his theatrical and engaging commentary - two hours flew by ! We'd never explored the East End much and this was a fabulous way to see it, even without the blood-curdling stories about Jack the Ripper along the way. Wear warm clothes and be prepared for a great night out !

“The Ripper tour to take!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

I highly recommend the Jack the Ripper tour "From Hell". Dickie was amazing and full of knowledge that kept us entertained for over two hours. We did the night time tour and it added even more spookiness. This was one of the best tours we took while in London.
