I've stayed in Premier Inns several times before, and didn't hesitate to book this one when I realised it was literally five minutes walk away from the theatre I was going to.
Room was Premier Inn standard, they've carved out more room in the bathroom by trading in the bathtub/shower combo for a free-standing shower cubicle.
For business travellers I would note there was no in-room safe, which might be a deciding factor if you're carrying laptops/tablets and other expensive pieces of electrical equipment.
Ate in the hotel restaurant for convenience, and because they were running a meal deal of 2 course dinner with drink plus the buffet breakfast for £22.99, which given the buffet alone is nearly a tenner struck me as a bargain.
Food was plain but serviceable.
Staff were extremely helpful, even when I got back to the hotel at nearly midnight and my room key had stopped working. Couldn't do enough for you.
More than anything else, I'll always choose Premier Inn over Travelodge because they have working air conditioning, and after the weather we've been having it was very much the deciding factor.
