Its the perfect size hostel to meet people not only travelling but finding work/studying etc
The bar & common room is good to just chill out with free internet use and tv. The workers are really nice and will cater to any needs. I would defo recommend this hostel!

Overall I thought security was lacking at this hostel. One night a group of people who weren't staying in the hostel were allowed up to the rooms, not only did these guests disrupt the sleep of the other people in the dorm, it wasn't safe considering we actually have to be let up to the rooms by staff. FYI if you do want to lock yours things up, lockers are an extra cost. The positives of this hostel are the 1.50 euro breakfast (which was a good value spread), and that it's close to the tube.

This hostel is very great. It's not far of 2 tube stations, in a nice district. My travel was perfect in part thanks to Jonatan and pablo who were funny and friendly, without forget the kindness of Sam... Thanks for all.

This is a great hostel with a warm vibe. One employee, Paul, is especially friendly and helpful with anything you might need. It's also a very well priced establishment so it's a great place to save money while traveling. The hostel's location is far enough from the city center to be out of some of the hustle and bustle but not so far as to be inconvenient.

Excellent Hostel, this was my second stay and Im sure I will be Back! Excellent bar / reception / social area & Facilities that are by any standard great and especially for how cheap it was in the busy season. The hostel is near tube stations and bus stops but im a by foot person and all the main attractions/tourist spots were within walking distance. I meet alot of intresting and engaging travels in the bar area and even had a game of monopoly as they have board games ^_^ Big thanks to the receptionist Paul who made the stay great.

Room Tip: Room 2 was a great stay, 6 bed dorm was quiet and comfortable.

The Phoenix hostel gave me a superb experience. The lounge area has great couches and there is also a pub. So it was a hub of socialisation. I met some super cool travellers with whom we got to go out and explore the London day & night in several instances, aided by the convenient location with easy access to the London Underground. Walking into town via Bond Street or Edgware Rd was also easy. The price is extremely appealing. But by far the best about the hostel are its staff: "Mac"Paul, who is an expert in Scotland and the local pub scene, Pablo, always making jokes and being helpful (thanks for the toothpaste when I couldn't find mine), Tina, with great tips to get around London, and Jonathan, with whom I got to practice my poor French (pauvre tipe). Lastly, one must admit the owner could spend some extra money in more hygienic bathroom and shower facilities.
