Description: The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

“Wonderful Food and Superb Staff!!”
Reviewed 15 August 2012

We went on the 31/07/12 .... From the moment we stepped into La Chapelle the staff were very warm and friendly. (I had let them know that it was for my husbands birthday on booking) And they remembered, and stated that they had reserved a special table so we could see the whole of the restaurant and I could understand why the building is beautiful. The level of service is fabulous, the food delicious and the ambiance well was sublime..
All I have left to say is you want and experience then this is the place to go....

“Awesome food, but not cheap”
Reviewed 13 August 2012

The location was rather lacking in buzz, but once inside the atmosphere was great. Service and food were both exceptional (as it should be). We chose the 'Menu Gourmand' to have a taste of multiple dishes. The accompany wine selection seemed rather expensive but the wine waiter recommended a lovely bottle to accompany the meal (we ended-up drinking two bottles!). Food itself was wonderful - a delight on the palate. Highly recommended and we would definitely go again, although need to save-up first!!

“excellent 3 course fixed price lunch”
Reviewed 13 August 2012

We both had the crayfish, melon and ham starter, followed by the crispy sea bream. The dessert was gooseberry crumble with icecream. Excellent flavours. Beautifully presented. Just the right size of portions for a 3 course lunch. Good selection of wines. Was slightly daunted when I saw the waiters so formally attired but service was friendly and good humoured as well as being totally professional and efficient. Very impressed. It was a warm sunny day and it was pleasant to have a table outside on the "grass" under a large umbrella away from London noise. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

“Another great meal in super setting”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

As it was a work night, we had the 3 course set menu at just under £30. Starter of crayfish salad pleasant, main of very pink lamb absolutely lovely, but the best was saved for last ( and I don't usually eat desert) with a divine gooseberry crumble. The usual wines, a crisp white to start, a well matched red from the sommelier with the main. All served with the usual French aplomb and charm. Unusually busy for a Monday - no sign of Olympic effect here.

“Simply delicious food, too many wonderful choices to just pick a couple”

Vichyssoise that was sublime with one of the best fillets in ages. Great service and lovely montepulciano to savour. Tables a little to close for my comfort but overall worth a visit!
