We walked in off the street and where pleasantly surprised. Ambience very good and a good crowd of people, not noisy a very pleasant experience. A menu offering good choice and the food was good to eat.

Came to the townhouse earlier this week for some birthday celebrations and had the full afternoon tea.

The location and decor are lovely, and the service was friendly and helpful. The selection of teas was nice with a range of herbal/ classic teas.

The sandwiches were decent and when I told the waitress I disliked eggs, she replaced it with another that I liked which was very nice of her. However they were a bit dry...

The scones were great as was the cream and the choice of two jams. We were really disappointed by the pastries. It felt like they had been in the fridge moments before being given to us so the macaroons and cakes were too cold and hard to eat properly. The price is low, but we ended up eating very few of the pastries because they just weren't really worth it!

All in all, a cheap afternoon tea. You get what you pay for. Stay for tea and scones, don't get the cakes and sandwiches!

Restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was probably the best I had received over my entire trip to London (5 days). The food was very good, but for the price that you pay I would have liked it to be of a bit higher quality. Great place for a date or catch up with friends.

I've been here a few times for afternoon tea and for drink/snacks in the evening. The service is always great, the atmosphere lovely and the sausage rolls amazing!

A mate said to me a day before we were going to the ballet do you know of a good restaurant in London, automatically I went for Dean st, I phoned on the Sunday and we were going on the Monday,(bear in mind this was the week of Christmas) yes sir we can fit you in before your show. We arrived and service was as usual exceptional and we had a 3 course meal and coffee and ready for the ballet in under 2 hours for 4 of us in an already busy restaurant. Fantastic food in a fantastic building with truly superb staff.
