“Excellent location for some tourist sights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2012

This hotel is literally across the bridge from Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, House of Parliament, etc. and even fairly close to the theatre district. So, if you want to walk out the lobby door into these busy tourist areas this is a great location for you. The hotel is ultra contemporary & hectic on the lobby levels, but we had no wait checking in or out. Our room was ultra modern w/beautiful painting of a dancer on the closet door. The room was very spacious w/great amenities; however, the view from our window was of an interior courtyard. We were not in the room for any length of time so this didn't bother us.
Breakfast was excellent.
This hotel has a great location for some tourist attractions. It is ultra modern-everything seems to be shiny new but it lacks personality.

Room Tip: Request a room with an outside view.

When we arrived, the door man noted our name tags on our luggage. Greeted us by name every time during our stay. It is of a modern nature..not usually my style, but I enjoyed it here very much! Short walk across the bridge to Big Ben, Westminster, Eye of London. Any time we asked about dining, shopping, etc...we were never dissapointed. Staff asked about our taste and style, then made spot on recommendations. I would definately stay here again.

We found this hotel to be quite satisfactory! Our location was within walking distance of Big Ben, Parliament and the London Eye. The hotel was just lovely: clean and beautiful. We found the staff quite helpful when we requested a change of room (we wished for a larger bed).

Excellent location and the view from my room was really special. The bed was comfortable and the efficient climate control meant I could have the temperature really cool all night. The check-in was swift and there was someone on hand to help those of us who just needed to leave the key at check-out. I attended a Dinner for over 600 people on 24th October and the food was exceptional. The service was efficient and friendly and everyone had their meal hot and at the same time. The only fault would be the really weak coffee served at the end. I took a late breakfast the next morning and again the service was good and it was easy to find a table.

Stayed there in September and for the price I paid it was absolutely fine, however the room service couldn't be any slower than what I experienced. Having called the reception 3 times every 30 minutes and then finally making my way there to ask myself was really below a 4* service. Rooms specious, bathrooms as well. Overall good hotel if you're business traveller (not the best location for a tourist), as long as you don't bother with room service.

Thank you for your review TomMusiol, however, I’m sorry to note your poor Room Service experience, this is certainly not the norm and I apologise for this lapse in service.

We cater for both Leisure and business guests and I hope we can welcome you back in the near future to enjoy an improved service.

As regular visitors to London for long weekends it is safe to say we have our "niche" hotels and know what we like. It was with some trepedation then that we took a chance and changed our usual haunts for our recent trip to the capital and tried Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. On arrival the first thing we noticed was the hotel was huge! Great position just at the end of Westminster Bridge looking up to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Having joined "Club Carlson" before arriving at the hotel we were able to use this check in (which speeded things up quite considerably) - it's a very busy reception 24 hrs. We had booked two rooms for two nights as the trip was to celebrate my husband's birthday and our annual trip with my father in law. We had also booked the Park Plaza Plus package, which gave us access to the Executive Lounge. The receptionist commented on the fact that it was a trip to celebrate a birthday and gave us complimentary upgrade to two studio rooms - which was really appreciated. The studios are lovely - giving you a separate living area. The rooms are very modern and have everything that you could need -not sure about scales in the bathroom though! We were on the 7th floor and were surprised how quiet the room was bearing in mind the location. The bed was really comfortable. If I had one criticism is would be that the many lighting choices in the room can get very muddled!! There was even a birthday cake in the room - very yummy! The executive lounge is in the atrium and has a great choice, from all day refreshments to afternoon tea and evening canapes and drinks. The views out across westminster bridge are fab. The lounge can be a little cold though so be prepared! We had dinner in Brassiere Joel and the food was really nice, very well presented and I think pretty reasonable. One of the nights we ate pre theatre menu and the other from the main menu. The Primo Bar is lovely for an after dinner drink and on the night we went in after the theatre there was a Michael Buble tribute act on - very good and a nice way to finish the evening. There is a spa and fitness centre but on this visit unforunately we did not have time to explore. The only problem we all had was with the key cards. We found that we were constantly having trouble getting into our rooms and the executive lounge. I think this is pretty much a general fault with key cards but it did get a bit annoying. That said we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you and we will definitely put Park Plaza on our list for future visits. Thank you Park Plaza :)
