“Wouldn't stay anywhere else in London!”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

I have stayed in Park plaza Westminster bridge four times, the location is excellent- a 2 minute walk from westminster bridge with superior views of Big Ben and houses of parliament. A short walk to two tube stations and i recommend a walk along the river to the Southbank centre.

The service and hospitality is excellent from check in to check out, the rooms are spacious and modern with lovely big clean bathrooms. If your lucky enough to get a room with a view you won't regret it.

I really wouldn't stay elsewhere on my visits to London. Location, price and service is second to none.

Stayed December 2013, travelled as a couple

We spent 6 nights at the Park Plaza Westminster in May. It is an excellent hotel and the location is fantastic. Easy access to many subway lines and trains and great for walking along the south bank of the Thames. Good restaurants nearby too. The hotel has a great breakfast offer and the bar has live entertainment.

Room Tip: Ask for an exterior view but even the courtyard view rooms have some kind of view - our room was a b...

Thank you for your review David_S6627 and for adding another 5* review for our hotel.

We are truly well placed for many of the great sites in London and have great transport links right on our doorstep.

The Southbank is a great place to view the Thames any time of the day.

I hope we’ll be able to welcome you back for another great stay.

If you are looking for the ideal location to explore London this will be a very good bet. Very modern and sleek. Stayed in a studio which was spacious and had a pull out couch in a partially separated room. The indoor pool and steam room was lovely. Great looking gym as well. You will not be disappointed.

I was surprisingly disappointed by my experience here. The staff were all helpful and switched-on but my problem lies with an aversion to being put in a room that is suspended (entombed) within a building with no outside window and no line of sight to light. The construction of the hotel is rather strange resulting in a number of rooms being of this kind. The inside is depressing, room lighting dark and the whole feel, frankly, depressing. The glass topped desks and bedsides were not very clean (streaky and worn) and the rooms finish had an un-cared for finish and lacked the personal touch. The rooms rate (even discounted) made this poor value. I see my review is somewhat at odds with many on TA - I am sure having a room with a real window and light is a wholly different experience. Meantime I am sorry I can't recommend a return visit.

Room Tip: Outside facing room rather than inner tomb recommended!

Thank you for your candid review TechnoProf.

We encourage all prospective guests to visit our website and review our room types which are clearly listed prior to making a booking. This will ensure you select your preferred room type and avoid disappointment. As per the website, our Superior rooms do not have an external facing view, you will need to select a Studio or higher room category.

I’m sorry to note that this was not the case for your recent stay and that it had a negative influence of your stay here, as mentioned above, for any future bookings you will need a Studio or higher category for an external facing view.

I hope we can welcome you back in the near future.

The Mandara Spa at Park plaza Westminster Bridge was a five star spa. We had use of the heated pool, coed steam room and coed sauna all day. Locker facility was clean. Yolanda was an excellent massage therapist. We had a hot stone massages and it was very good.Nice area to relax before and after session. Price was reasonable.

I only stayed the one night whilst attending a business event in the hotel, but would willingly stay longer in its luxurious surroundings. The rooms are spacious and well appointed - a separate shower and bath was a nice touch - and a comfortable bed too. The desk area was actually large enough to do some decent work on - which makes a change!

From start to finish the hotel accommodated for me. I had made a last min booking for my girlfriend and I and the staff were very informative. Mario ensured we had all of our baggage immediately couriered up to our room. I had mistakenly booked a superior room with twin beds, hoiwever Mario was quickly and promptly able to alter the booking with the minimum of fuss.

All basic requirements are catered for in the room. Our en-suite also had a large room and bath and the shower range from Elemis was top-drawer.

Breakfast was a bit pricey but delicious and the hotel have a great entertainment event which we were lucky to attend on the Saturday. The Primo bar is a good setting for their monthly soul night, and a good alternative to spend an evening in a hotel after London sightseeing. I'm a Londoner myself and normally don't see the point in staying in a London hotel and spending the evening there. I'd make an exception with Park Plaza and the Primo Bar.

All in all a very satisfying stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on south side or with views of Big Ben
