We have stayed at this hotel twice in the last month or so.
Initially, I was dubious about the location, it seemed a bit out of the way in relation to central London and all the centre has to offer but, as the hotel was recommended to us and we had a good price we thought we would give it ago.
The hotel is modern, clean and friendly. The rooms are very large by London standards and the beds extremely comfortable. A couple of down points regarding the rooms are they seem to get extremely hot, there is a window that you can open, which is fine during the day but not suitable whilst sleeping due to outside traffic noise. The bed only has a duvet, no separate sheet so there isn't the option to remove the duvet either. The other improvement could be the lighting in the bathroom, there is a blue light which isn't suitable for applying make up etc. the lighting in there should be brighter.
I think that most the rates include breakfast which is very good, plenty of choice with both hot and cold options and the service is good too.
Re the location, I need not have worried. It is just a 20 minute stroll to Sloane Square which can offer lots of eating and shopping options, plus access to the underground.
All in all a good affordable hotel in London.

i was not in a very happy mood when arriving at this hotel, having been sat on a train 3 hours longer than I should have been I didn't arrive in London til 10.15pm. I arrived at the hotel at 10.45 pm. as I reached reception I was told that I had been upgraded to an executive suite for no extra cost which obviously made me very happy! the bed was amazing and big and comfy, the bathroom facilities 2nd to none! tv at the end of the bath and great walk in shower. plenty choice of channel to choose from on the tv. great tea and coffee making facilities too! I had a balcony overlooking Battersea power station which is beautifully lit up at night. breakfast the following morning was fantastic, so much choice! cooked breakfast, cheeses, meats, cereals, fruit, the choice was endless. this hotel made up for my journey being so troublesome. I recommend this hotel to anyone, everything was quality :) will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: 1114 was my room, 11th floor, overlooking the power station

I only arrived at the hotel late at night, put my head on the pillow, slept like a baby until the alarm went off, cried like a baby because the alarm went off, got up, had some breakfast, had a bit more breakfast, checked out. Thank you and good bye. 5 stars alone for the quality of the mattress and pillows. But sadly, I can only score it 4 out of 5 because the word Chelsea is included in the hotel name. There's only one Rafa! Fact!

Stayed at the Pestana Hotel October 25-30. Picked this hotel because we were in London for a funeral and it was close to Claplam.. We could not get a B&B in Claplam or clapham common for the dates. Additionally traveling with 80yrs mom n 70 yrs aunt, so location to Claplam was key
The good: great location to all sites in london, hotel has a apartment residence attached so you have a mini mart to get all your basics, hotel is very modern and nicely done.
The Bad: noise level very bad in certain rooms, I asked about this because of the report I saw on tripadvisor when we checked in and was told no such issue by Lay.. Sure enough my mom and aunt who were in room 401 experience this seem less over the weekend but got worse on Mon / Tues, they did not want the hassle of moving - had Lay been honest they wild not have to deal with this.
We were running late one evening n miss time to meet our family, my Aunt went to the reception ask for a curtesy local call and was told to go up to her room , you have a phone there!- not 4 star hotel attitude?
As we were checking out I notice that housekeeping does not have a standard cleaning cart- see attached picture off all the rags in one bucket! This is nasty and The hotel should know better is this the hotel standard in London? Will not recommend this hotel .. Clean up your act .

Stayed at the hotel for three nights from Friday to Monday, (during the storm Oct 2013). Didn't hear a thing outside at any point, really quiet and great sleep quality. Easy access to the hotel from Euston and then on the tube to Victoria and then to Sloane Square. Once at Sloane Square regular bus services run every 2-3minutes which stop at Chelsea Bridge. The bus stop is just around the corner from the Hugo Boss store in Sloane Square buses 137 and 452 are the ones to catch. The journey takes around 5mins. Battersea Park rail is just down the road 5 to 10mins away under the second railway bridge and runs a regular southern rail service into Victoria. The bar and restaurant does add a discretionary 12.5% service charge to all orders.

Perfect hotel for a vacation in london. Altough the hotel is not in the city centre there are buses just under the hotel.
Very clean, loveky staff, big rooms and perfect bed! We visited the spa once which was very nice and relaxing (we took the wet and dry Sauna and got into the pool). Breakfast is a delicious as well.
Highly recommandad!

It's an ok hotel. I found it a bit bland and soulless. Reception staff were fairly unfriendly and unhelpful although the restaurant staff were excellent. The internet charges (£5 for one hour) are exorbitant. Sadly didn't have time to check out the spa.
