“Fantastic location and very good value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

I have several times the last couple of years taken my family to London for the weekend or during school holidays. In most cases I have booked a family room at Pestana and been offered very good deals. There is a parking house opposite the hotel where you pay GBP 36 for 1 ½ day which is a brilliant deal for London. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which will take you to Sloan Square in minutes and you are also close to Kings Road, one of the most famous streets in London. The rooms have a great set up, cool decor, very good size and very comfortable beds with a nicely set up bathroom with bath tub and separate shower. Each room has a minibar, kettle, and coffee / tea arrangement. Not free Wi-Fi which is lightly disappointing. Very good breakfast and the service is very efficient. The staff is always very friendly; the hotel has a Spa with a pool and a small gym.
Will definitely be staying there again when next in London.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the Battersea power station and the Thames

My sister and I recently stayed at this hotel for one night.
The hotel itself is beautiful and modern.
We had a deluxe king room, it was flawless. The room was spacious and the facilities in the room itself were pristine.
Breakfast the next day was fresh and the hotel staff were very friendly.
The car park for the hotel is a public car park next to the hotel.
I will definitely be staying here again.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel a birthday and were disappointed at the general attitude and service received particularly by the staff on reception. To start on a positive note, the hotel is lovely, modern, good size rooms, clean and in quite a good location.
However, the service let the whole experience down. Reception were awkward about lending us a knife to cut a birthday cake, unwilling to lend us cutlery, didn't make an attempt to call us when our takeaway arrived downstairs and also argumentative when I mentioned all of the above during check out (maybe don't ask how my stay was if you're unwilling to hear the truth?..)
Any paying guest deserves to feel valuedl, and our experience was far from that. This alone means I doubt we'll ever stay here again, which is a massive shame.

Brilliant value for money. We booked direct with the hotel rather than through other booking sites and received the 'deal of the day' which i must say was very good. We had a deluxe room with great views of Battersea power station, The Thames and other iconic London landmarks. The room was very well laid out, with great decor and size. Staff were very friendly and the Spa was a welcome extra on the Saturday morning after a late Friday night. We will definately be staying there again when next in London.

If you picked up this hotel and placed it Theatreland or Mayfair, the room price would double. We found it to be friendly, professional and clean. The rooms are larger than most London hotel rooms and are well-equipped. The restaurant staff seem to be mostly Eastern European and are a cut above the often surly workers in other establishments. Breakfast was the usual buffet affair, both continental and full english.
On visiting the spa, we were informed that it was closed due to high chlorine levels. Again the staff, whilst apologising, explained the facilities that were available and turned the situation into a positive one by their caring attitude.
This part of the city is not the most salubrious area. In fact, most of the nearby south bank is currently a building site. It is a 15 minute walk to the nearest underground, but we found the best option was to catch a bus outside the hotel to Oxford Circus. These run every 6-7 minutes and take a route passing Sloane Square, Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Oxford Street. The view from a tube train is somewhat less interesting. In 2 or 3 years time, when all the re-building is finished, this will become a fashionable location. For the sake of a short bus ride, the saving of approximately £100 per night, seems good value.
We felt comfortable here and we will return.

Room Tip: Rooms at front of the hotel are not affected by any train noise.

What more can I say other than what other people have said. Staff friendly and prompt service. Room was extremely spacious. We upgraded to a deluxe king room. Amazing view of Thames. We had a 10th floor room. Easiest way to get into Central london either 15 min walk to nearest tube or bus to tube. £2.50 fare but regular bus. We walked as it is a lovely walk to either Sloan square or 5 mins extra walk to Victoria tube. Overall I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel. You save a fair amount of money staying just a 20 minute journey away from Central london where hotels are more expensive with no views. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Pestana hotel.

Stay regularly on family trips to London from Yorkshire. The hotel is modern, exceptionally clean and the staff helpful, courteous & very pleasant - nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent - breakfast, bar and evening meals and are all good value for money.
Rooms are roomy and warm with spacious bathrooms - bath & separate shower and the beds are big & comfy. The location is quiet and the rooms well insulated so a restful sleep is guaranteed.
Situation is good with a direct bus link to Kensington, Hyde Park corner and Oxford Street (137) or Victoria (44). Overlooks Battersea Park which is a lovely location and from the back you can see the Thames and many of London's landmarks.
We've been about 15 times in the last 2 years and find it a comfortable London base where we can relax and enjoy the experience. We would recommend it. Chelsea Bridge carries on the wonderful Pestana tradition that we have experienced in Madeira and Portugal & in June we are going to their new Hotel in Berlin. We anticipate nothing less than the best!

Room Tip: Stayed front & back and although the main train lines run behind the Hotel - the rooms are well...
