We have stayed here several times and while we thought that there were better 5 star hotels in London which we have stayed, this one is half price and twice as good as these Park Lane operations.

The staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. This is because who ever interviews prospective employee's they know exactly what the hotel needs.

Can't wait to return. Thank you to the team at this great hotel.

Nice, moderne and spacious rooms. Always good service at the hotel. Breakfast is very good and staff attentive. Close to Victoria station when you arrive from Gatwick. Only minus is no tube in the neighbourhood.

We have stayed here twice. The hotel is 15mins easy walk to Sloane Square and Kings Road so very convenient for shopping, and good cafes for Breakfast and Lunch.
Battersea Park across the road is handy for 'time out' walks/runs or picnics.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a 'peek' of the Park

After spending a weekend at the Pestana with my partner to see the sights, I am happy with the choice I made when booking this hotel.

Rooms were very clean like they had just been decorated, an exercise bike in the corner, white leather lounge and the comfiest pillows - have not slept that well in ages.

The bathroom is a delight where I could not help but have the blue mood light on at all times; even considering having this built into my house. Shower facilities were very good and even the shower gel provided was of a great scent.

The spa was very good and relaxing with free sauna and spa but having to pay for treatments. You would have to take your chances when going down though as seating is limited.

With regard to tube links etc. Yes the nearest tube is a good mile away, but what a better way to tackle obesity by walking around rather than sitting down on tubes and buses all day.

Overall, my experience of the hotel was very good and I would be more than happy to visit again.

The room in this hotel was very nice: big and clean. But I didn't get a good night's sleep all the same. I was put in a room (207) right next to the gym, as I discovered only first thing in the morning when I was woken by the noise of early birds running on the treadmill. On top of that, people knocking on each other's doors in the corridor can be heard clearly from one's bed. And all of the doors to all of the rooms appear to have been designed to auto-slam. I tried to shut mine quietly and it still made a very loud noise.

When I said something mild to the receptionist about having been woken early by runners in the gym, she just said something along the lines of: “sometimes it's noisy and sometimes it's not. It depends on whether people use the gym” and pointed out that I hadn't specifically asked for my room to be quiet when making the booking. She offered no apology, and no recognition that one of the jobs of a hotel is to provide you with a room that gives you a decent chance of a peaceful night's sleep—you shouldn't have to ask for that in particular.

As it turned out, anyway, I *had* specifically requested a quiet room when making the booking. When I discovered this, I went back and asked for a refund. I was told that no one at the desk had the authority to give me one, and that the general manager, who did have the authority, wasn’t in the hotel. So, I had to email the general manager. I did that, and a few days later, they organised a 50% refund, which seems fair to me. But still: no recognition of the fact that none of the rooms in an expensive hotel such as this one should be predictably noisy. And it seems a pretty bad sign that no one on site has the authority to review refunds in case of problems, which surely crop up every now and then even in top hotels. You don't want to be chasing these things by email for days afterwards.

This wasn't a budget room. It’s clearly a nice hotel so long as everything goes right first time, but I’d hesitate to recommend taking your chances with the not-so-sympathetic attitude if it doesn’t.

Room Tip: Avoid 207 if you don't want to be next to the gym. One one side, the hotel looks towards Batter...
