“Jazz at Kings Place had good acoustics, a modern music hall, attractive arts building”
Reviewed 9 February 2013

Modern concert Hall #1, saw a "Jazz on 3" concert this Saturday evening (good value at £9.50 online booking). Sound quality was very good indeed, with the BBC Radio 3 team recording the concert of the Hans Koller Ensemble.
Slightly lacking in atmosphere on the evening I thought, but that may be the subdued audience / music? A small bar is in the basement serving drinks for patrons. This venue suits formal music concerts I think.

“An evening with Simon Hoggart”
Reviewed 26 November 2012

A lovely venue for a huge variety of events - Simon Hoggart talked entertainingly and was much appreciated by his audience. Very interesting art exhibition happened to be showing and the selection of food and surroundings to eat and drink are great. Splendid to enjoy a drink outside the Rotunda by the canal. In addition the location is terrific - accessible by bus or underground. A perfect entertainment venue for music, theatre etc.

“Kings Place, London”
Reviewed 12 November 2012

I had an excellent monday evening at this Arts Centre, with a friend.
Kings Place has a variety of arts events -
mine was a large lounge style chat, between Tim Flach, photographer and interviewer Lewis Blackwell-
it was excellent-heaps of interesting images and a highly articulate and committed photographer. Not technical-conceptual- centring on Flach's ideas on how we shape nature and what it does back to us -ticketed event-easy, smooth admission and good directions from reception to specific room.
All events contained within a large, modern building, with loads of space and light, places to sit ,relax and drink coffee. Five mins walk from Kings Cross and 10 mins from Euston.

“Great venue, flexible adaptable building, home to The Guardian too”
Reviewed 23 October 2012

I've attended several events, conferences and courses at Kings Place - it's a great venue, close to Kings Cross and Euston Road - easy walking distance. There are too few venues like this which can accommodate such a variety of events - music, theatre, readings, conferences etc and have great cafes, that still feel intimate and lived in, and which also play host to the Guardian and Observer offices - worth a visit for great interior spaces and design, and displays from the history of the newspapers. Great interiors throughout the whole place, friendly helpful staff and a well connected location. FAB!

“Something different for entertainment in London”
Reviewed 22 September 2012

This is a unique entertainment venue; and a great place to meet with friends, eat and relax as well, day or night. If I were visiting London I think it would be a great place to experience a wide variety of culture - music, poetry and art. It is not so vast that you feel as though you are on any kind of a visitor experience; KIngs Place is mainly used by local people, but it is well designed on three floors with good spacious seating areas inside and out.
I visited this time for the Festival in September which offers good value events of an excellent quality with imaginative scheduling. The food is particularly tempting and affordable.

My only gripes are that the canal alongside is in dire need of a cleanup, and anyone like me who suffers from panic attacks in wide tall glassy spaces with escalators up the middle had better watch out - but there's an excellent lift.
