We saw the trip advisor sticker on the window so decided on this place. We made a deal with the man standing outside that wasn't quite as good as some of the other restaurants were offering but figured it must be good as it had a big group already eating there and was recommended by Trip Advisor. When we sat down the manager came over and told us that the deal we agreed on wasn't possible because the guy outside didn't know what he was doing. So ended up having to negotiate again - this is all part of the scam! He then continued to change what was offered to us at the door throughout the night. Food is nice but be careful for the angry manager scam!!! Ruined the start of our fun night out having to deal with an angry rude manager. However the other staff seemed lovely. Will never go back.

Had googled this as a recommended Brick Lane Curry House. Being from Melbourne, food wise Brick Lane's a bit of a Bangladeshi version of our Lygon Street in Carlton, famed for a majority of Italian Restaurants with street Hosts/Touts, though it's a marginal % that deliver a quality experience. I'd only been to the Brick Lane Precinct once before and had a good (recommended) meal in a different Restaurant up the top end.
The food at Eastern Eye Balti House was excellent & the Service was more than charming - as an unlicenced BYO restaurant, the staff member informed of the Off Licence round the corner then even recommended a Rijoca for around 15pounds and actually went and bought it and brought it back himself. They were reasonably busy too! Friend from Hitcin whom I took there loved it too. Will definitely be back to this place when visiting Brick Lane next year.

I'm not a big fan of Indian food but all the dishes we ordered were perfect. Staff were helpful but not obtrusive. Great value for money and we would all return.

I was with a group of six friends visiting Brick Lane for the first time. Like others, I became quite intimidated by the touts around. We picked this restaurant because the guy on the door was not too "pushy" with his deal, and we liked the fact that the windows opened right out on to the street on a hot day. The waiter was charming, helpful and polite. He even went and bought a cider for one of the party who cannot drink beer.Considering we had two free drinks as part of our deal, this was over and above normal service. We all enjoyed our starters, mains and the naan bread with almond was delicious. We were expecting a "catch" when it came to paying the bill - what would the hidden extras be? Not at all....fantastic value. £60 for a two course meal + drinks for six. We will return.

I have always enjoyed dinners at Eastern Eye Balti House: the food is good, the staff friendly, they often recommend good deals and have a wide drinks' selection. In my opinion, this restaurant is better suited for a bigger group of friends / colleagues (the time I went with one friend only, the waiter was a bit too insistent on taking us out for drinks afterwards).
