We received a gift voucher from our daughters as a christmas present and saved it for a treat on our wedding anniversary. From the choice of Gordon Ramsay restaurants we chose petrus and were very pleased that we did as we had a perfect dining experience. We couldnt get a table till 21:45 on the Friday even though we booked about 6 weeks in advance but this did not cause any real issue and we did not feel rushed at the table. We chose the chef's menu and went for the pork main which was delicious as were all the other courses and the appetisers. The service was very attentive and not at all stuffy, all of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. It would have been lovely to try more dishes from the menu although not humanly possible given the amount of food consumed so it would be great to return one day for another treat.

There's not much to say other than we had a great time. Petrus is just one of those places you have to try. Considering it's Michelin star, the set menu offers good value and the service is top notch.

I'd like to go back ad check out the chef's table for a special occasion.

Exceptional Service. Exceptional food.. All in all I have only every experienced such execution and professionalism in Tokyo.. But Petrus wins cuz the staff are friendly welcoming , witty and put you at ease from the minute you walk in.. They don't know the meaning of the word stuffy. I could go on but its been said plenty of times before.. Best in London IMO.

We were in London for Easter this year and managed to snag the last open reservation for the week we were there. Having read the reviews, and seeing how difficult it was to get a table, we were quite excited to dine at Petrus. I must say that our expectations were exceeded in every way. We chose to dine à la carte, as the tasting menu didn't really appeal. However, we were very pleased with the variety of dishes available on the menu. We found the food to be expertly prepared, and the service was impeccable (always attentive, never intrusive). The pace of the meal was perfect. We were even taken downstairs to see the kitchen after we'd finished. Don't be afraid of the Gordon Ramsay name: this isn't Hell's Kitchen, and the staff is dedicated to their work without taking themselves too seriously. Dining here was a real treat!

I'm not one to dig out expensive or Michelin star restaurants - I'm more inclined towards great grub at reasonable prices. However, I have to say that I wasn't disappointed with the food here, nor the idea of parting with my money at the end of it. Yes, you're paying £65 for a la carte but the service is excellent (and not overbearing) and in addition to your 3 courses you receive a canape plate, an amuse bouche, and a pre and post-dessert teaser - which make it pretty good value. The food is immaculately presented and delicious. The wine and drinks menu - though impressive - is what might scare the thrifty diners away. Once drinks + service are included you're looking at £100pp, which seems a lot less reasonable. In addition to the expensive drinks, I felt the atmosphere in the restaurant was awkward and unpleasant and my 2 colleagues felt the same - this is why I'm not giving Petrus the full 5*. Bring good company and you'll be in for a wonderful experience.
