Owner description: You will never forget the theatrical event that is Disney's THE LION KING. Brilliantly re-imagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular stage production that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. 'There is simply nothing else like it.' Excellent stunning performance. We seen it with my son 10 years ago and now came back to be equally amazed again ! One of the best classics and a great family activity.

I liked the fact that the cast were not dressed to look like poor imitations of the animals. The costumes were truly fantastic.

Don't get me wrong the show itself is amazing in terms of costume design and performance - However, I was hugely disappointed when about 10 minutes in to the opening act a whole row of teenagers (about 15 of them) were allowed in late and then flaffed around in the dark looking for their seats. They blocked the view for a good few minutes.

When I mentioned this to staff - they said it is disney policy to allow late comers in and for us to put our complaint in writing - which we did to no avail.

To be honest, Wicked is AMAZING. The lion king was good and very pricey.

Fantastic show, only one negative was that we were sitting with the pigeons because we were so high up, but then again, you get what you pay for! And it was snowing when we got out! :(
