Owner description: You will never forget the theatrical event that is Disney's THE LION KING. Brilliantly re-imagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular stage production that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. 'There is simply nothing else like it.' “Fantastic performance at the Lyceum Theatre”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

The Lyceum Theatre itself is a fantastic place for a theatre performance and the Lion King did not disappoint. The acting is first class with the sets and costumes being well designed. This would appeal to young children as well as older ones. Familiarity with the story helps but even if you weren't aware of it, it wont hinder your enjoyment of the performance

“Loved it!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

It was such an experience watching a show in London - have been to many in NYC but glad I decided to go to one in London and particularly this one. The theater itself was beautiful and the show was SUPER exciting. Of course, this was a bit pricier than something you would pay for a ticket in NYC but seeing a show in London is in a class of its own. Everything was great - loved the show and the cast and everything about it.

“Excellent show”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

It was fantastic. Went for the 7:30pm show. The best theatre show in town. The atmosphere was so good. Sat at the front row. However, be fast during break time as the queue for drinks etc gets very long quickly. Had to go out quickly during break to grab coffee from the pub next door.

“Very cleverly portrayed”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

The thing that disappointed me about the Lion King was that to my mind the opening should have been the finale. It is breathtakingly, mind blowingly, brilliant. The remainder of the show doesn't have a hope of living up to it. It has however been running successfully for a very long time, so I must be in the minority. A most pleasant evening at the theatre.
