Not good. Safety window locks on baseroom rooms, why?!

Inspect your room before you make payment, they don't do refunds whatever the reason. Management are not contactable after 5pm, and be patient with the receptionist, really nice but English isn't the first language.

Thank you ‘Paula1122’ for posting a review of our hotel.
With regards to your comments about window lock please read the response from my Risk Manager.
The window locks on the upper floors are to prevent guests (especially
Children) from falling from height so these should conform to safety regulations and very much in line with what other hotels do. Under fire regulations the means of escape are through designated fire doors as opposed to windows. The guest was offered a basement room as he needed more ventilation. The windows within the basement are fitted with locks for security to prevent unauthorised intrusion, arson or malicious fires. The windows are not barred so in an emergency could be broken to facilitate egress though I would maintain that windows are a not normal means of fire escape.
In the event of a fire the hotel has early detection fire alarm systems incorporating smoke and heat detectors and call points.

I would like to add that you were offered several room choices but you chose to leave. As we had fulfilled our part of the reservation contract you incurred a one night charge as was outlined in the terms and conditions of your reservation.
As a General Manager of 5 hotels I work 12-13 hours each day. Out of hours my staff only contacts me for emergencies only.
As most people know, London is a cosmopolitan city and you will find people working here from all over the world.

My room was standard single room, which basically meant a room smaller than a ferry cabin. The room had also a bed on wheels which didn't stay in place when I was lying on it. Breakfast was pretty poor as well - eggs, beans, toasts, jam and coffee. I've had better breakfast in 2-star hotels in much smaller towns in UK.

For some reason, this hotel has "you must leave your keycard in the reception whenever you leave the hotel" policy. Checkout is at 11 AM.

Location of this hotel is pretty good, though, especially if you're going from/to Heathrow (King's Cross station is couple minutes walk).

Thank you ‘Sathamoth’ for reviewing our hotel.
The room you were allocated was a standard single and is the standard size for hotels in the area. All the hotel beds have wheels on them so they can be moved for cleaning. I have checked the room and found it very difficult to make it move.
Breakfast is enjoyed by the majority of our guests each morning. The food we serve is of a high quality and supplied by local suppliers.
We ask all guests to leave their key cards in the reception when going out. This is because the cards automatically cancel themselves every day at mid day and we have to reprogram them.

Nice room, smart modern decor, clean and a good breakfast. Very handy for kings cross, euston and russell square.

The single room was good value compared to travel lodge on kings cross road.

We booked at the Judd Hotel on the last minute. On arrival at the Judd we were made to feel welcome, we arrived early so had to leave our cases in reception the staff made sure they were secure until our room was ready. My son and I were in a twin room on the ground floor, which was lovely. It was clean and airy clean towels everyday, and the breakfast was lovely just enough to start a busy day sight seeing with.

Room Tip: We were in G1 ground floor and even though it was near the reception area the noise was minimal.

This is a well thought out hotel, pleasant, very clean, the staff are very helpful and the rooms small but very homely and comfortable. Getting down for breakfast is no different: helpful staff, attentive and the tables are well set out and spotlessly clean. There is a small variety of cereals and a reasonable cooked breakfast spread. However there is no sign of any fresh or tinned fruit; grapefruit and orange segments would be a start, but a good selection of fresh fruit would really make the stay worthwhile for those of us who like fresh food. The same allpies to some more vegetables with the cooked breakfast like tomatoes and mushrooms. Also these days one expects a choice of teas like green tea, rooibos, earl grey ...AT LEAST!!!! A little more of this kind of refinements would certainly make the Judd a place to reccommend. But until then.....it remains average because of breakfast.

The rooms are small but very clean. A nice en suite bathroom that had been recently modernised. Bed was ok but the springs moved a lot, which indicates the bed should be replaced. Friendly and helpful staff. Big advantage is it is 5 minutes walk from St Pancras station, underground and Eurostar. Not inexpensive but nothing is in central London.

We (family of 3) stayed 3 days at Judd Hotel that turned out to be an excellent "base camp" for our stay in London.

It was in walking distance to a number of tube stations (Russell st., Euston Road, Kings Cross) so we had easy access to many parts of London. Just around the corner there were a number of restaurants of all tastes and with reasonable prices.

The staff was very kind and competent. The room was clean but rather small considering that we were 3 persons. However, if we only had been 2 persons in the room it would have been ok.

The breakfast was dull and the most basic "English breakfast" a hotel can serve. Considering the price we payed for the room one would expect a little more, e.g. some fresh fruit.
