Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Although I enjoyed the raspberry cupcake that's all that was good. The seating was uncomfortable, flimsy chairs. Tables not cleared so you had to share the tables with pidgeons which swooped to eat the uncleared cake crumbs. I had tea which was fine. My friends had coffee which wasn't so good. Service? Just ok. I stayed for an hour and not once did anyone come out to clear the mess from the tables. I'm afraid not an enjoyable experience. Won't go again. As I said. Cupcakes to go only !

Stopped here today to get a cupcake. Planned to go to Hummingbird but it turned out it would've been a 15 minute walk from Covent Garden so came here instead - really annoyed with myself as I really would've been better going to Hummingbird as their red velvet cupcakes are a million times better than the ones they sell here. The icing on top is so heavy and tastes of just pure cream and its hard. The food colouring of the cups were also not that great - you could see lots and lots of brown where they hadn't put enough food dye - obviously that wouldn't matter if the cups were great, but they weren't. You're better off walking to hummingbirds. For around £2.50 as well, bit of a rip off seeing as they're not great. Also the malteser cupcake - the only thing that tastes of maltesers is the icing not the cup itself, again, bit disappointing.

I always make time to come here for a cupcake when in London. They still are delicious as always, however they have shrunk by quite a bit! They don’t have as much frosting as they used to and the cake and cake case are a fair bit smaller! They’ve lost their sprinkling of glitter and whole Oreo in the top now as well – you get half and they look a little depressing compared to previously! It’s a shame the price hasn’t reduced to match!

Hi, Thanks for coming back to us each time you're in London! Sorry to hear you feel the size of the cupcakes has changed for the worse. We were getting feedback that there was too much frosting so you're right about that, we have reduced it a little on some of the cakes. Also, there was a bit of a hoo-ha last year regarding the glitter we used to use (see Food Standards Agency, 'edible glitter') so have stopped putting it on all the cakes. Hopefully you're enjoying our new flavour choices and we hope to see you again!

Great little place in Covent Garden for a sweet treat.
Good range of yummy tasting cupcakes, very light and fluffy, not dry at all!
Don't go too late in the afternoon though, as they sell out quick!
You can choose from big or mini cupcakes, and there is a good selection of flavours, from basic chocolate or vanilla, to delicious carrot or banoffee flavour!
Ella's bakehouse also does hot/cold drinks which you can order to enjoy with your cupcake :)
