“Excellent Boutique Hotel in a nice location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2011

Stayed here last weekend for a couple of nights.. We stayed in a suite and even at that the rate was excellent (compared to other hotels that i have stayed in). The hotel is Boutique in nature which is fine as I find some London hotels very pretentious and don’t care for the concierge with his hand out for everything. The room was beautifully laid out and had everything necessary for our stay. My Wife was delighted to find Aveda Products in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and the service all-round was excellent in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

My apologies to the person that had to make our room up after we had left - I had semi stripped the bed "trying" to find the label on that sublime mattress on our four poster bed - I want that mattress! - best nights sleep in years! A hidden gem - quiet and quirky boutique hotel with delightful touches & excellent staff! Nicest Hotel room I have stayed in in ages.....

Many thanks for the endorsement. I could not agree more as to how comfortable our bed/mattresses are. All our guests rave about them. We would obviously like to give you the details in person when you next stay with us but if this cannot wait, please contact me on alex.apostolakos@hitowerhill.com and I will let you in our “secret”.
We look forward to hearing from you again soon.

My partner and I are just finishing our weeklong stay here - myself for a conference at ExCel in East London, and her for sightseeing. This hotel's location has been great for us and would be for anyone doing business in the City or at ExCel - Tower Hill DLR about 3 min away, and for going the other way into London proper, Aldgate Underground is 3 min, and Liverpool St station within 10 min. The environs are lively during the week with many pubs and restaurants filled with suits, but completely dead at weekends - you will need to travel into more populated areas to find dinner and entertainment.

As others have pointed out, the hotel itself is great - friendly and efficient staff, better than average rooms, with wifi and free minibar very nice touches. We had some minor issues with towels and sheets not being changed. Despite several busy pubs outside, we were never troubled by street noise on the fifth level. Overall, great value for money and we will be back!

Very nice rooms, with the best matras I have ever slept on. A Minibar with !free! content, and a Nespresso machine for 2 cups of coffee, Every day being renewed. Bathroom also very big and nice, just a fantastic room.

However breakfast disappointing and expensive. The reception is multilangual and good.
Though 2 experiences where a bit disappointing; As a Priority gold member, I had to ask and check, 1 movie for free, checked it before, but was billed, they took it of after some talk. Had a kind of feeling they didn't care too much,

Second was my own fault, as I live in Egypt and in Holland, I don't know the Smokinglaws in the UK. Outside I saw I sign (and later on I saw also an electronic in the reception) but not on the door or in the room, so just smoked a sigarette, put a sign 'not disturb on the door' and went to sleep. After 5 minutes someone opened the door and said "ah you smoking, you can go pay 250GBP)" I demanded to see the duty manager, who said she didn't care and would bill it anyhow. After a day I got a message from the manager that it would be reduced too 100 fine, for cleaning the room. This cleaning of the room would be done after depature. (why not during). Any how... Don't smoke, and it will be fine. Ofcource if I would have know, I would take a room with a balcony or so.

Thank you for the feedback. We love the fact that you enjoyed our hotel and it’s amenities.
As a strictly non smoking hotel, our guests insist for a smoke odour free environment. We must therefore adhere to their requirements if we are serious in delivering the inspired service we are famous for. It was certainly not our intention to profiteer from the situation. As you could imagine, we cannot sell the room the same day if the previous owner smoked in the room. The £250 cleaning fee is there to cover possible need for dry cleaning of soft furnishing and the loss of revenue for that night. In your case, since you promised not to smoke for the remaining of your stay, we reduced the fee to £100 for cleaning incidentals. Although it would appear, we failed, on this occasion, to meet your expectations on this issue, I trust you can be assured that we handled this unfortunate situation in good faith.

Stayed 1 night as part of a 2 day trip to celebrate a 50th birthday. unexpected upgrade to the Tower Hill suite on the 5th floor was fantastic and so was the complimentary bottle of wine in the room. Comfy 4 poster queen bed and soft pillows, 2 TVs one in a mini lounge and some nice touches with Nespresso machine and free soft drink mini bar. Staff on reception (Riana) could not have been more helpful when we had queries regarding the free access to the Virgin Active club which is 2 minutes away. Brilliant location - RV1 circular bus to Covent Garden stops 1 minute away, DLR to Canary Wharf / Greenwich and Tower Hill tube both about 100m away. Couldn't have had a better stay - will definitely return.

Hotel Indigo was everything I'd read (positively) and more. From the minute I arrived, the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. Always available with a smile and prompt service, they are an example of the highest forms of customer service. I had a King room (wheelchair access), and was delighted at the size, the largest room I have ever seen in London.
The staff were kind enough to loan me a computer for my stay, a delightful and unexpected touch. Hotel Indigo London Tower Hill is too good to keep secret, and this gem is well worth the slightly off-beat path. Thank you HI staff, you rock!

This hotel was booked as it had great reviews on trip adviser, we have to say we were not disapointed, we had the option to upgrade to a suite at a superb rate, and took it. WOW is all i can say, this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in, in london. The bed is so so comfortable, even more than are ones at home. It is ideally located for aldgate tube and is out far enough from the hustle and bustle of more central hotels which we prefer. The staff are very very friendly and room service at 2.30am was quick and wow those club sandwiches were just devine, couple that with the free mini bar(non alcholic) it was just great. We want to thank the hotel and staff as are stay was just the best, oh and the mini eggs for easter at the front desk was a nice touch.... yum yum :) we will definetly use this hotel again, and even after a year open it is as new as the day it opened thanks to the great cleaning staff.

Room Tip: check for an upgrade, its worth it
