Wow! Thanks for your warm comments. We'd love to see you back soon.
My husband booked for us to stay here for our 1st Anniversary. We arrived on the Friday lunch time and hoped are room would be available (even though check in was 3pm), unfortunately it wasn't but were told we'd been upgraded to a top floor executive room. We left our luggage and mobile number so that they could call when the room was available and went off to Brick Lane and had lunch. We got back to the hotel at 3.30pm (we hadn't been called but the room was ready). The room was lovely, big comfy bed, nicely furnished and good bathroom. Free soft drinks and snacks in the mini bar (well only free if you don't think about how much you're paying to stay there!). The hotel had also put a bottle of wine in our room with a Happy Anniversary note which was nice. Tower Hill area is very busy during the week but everything (bars, restaurants etc) closes at the weekend. Would recommend going out locally on a Friday night and then heading else where on a Saturday. Breakfast wasn't included in our room rate and looked expensive at the hotel, we walked down the road a couple of hundred metres and found the only place open - an italian cafe - very nice choice of breakfast and much more reasonabley priced. We didn't eat or have drinks at the hotel so can't comment on that. The reception staff seemed friendly and helpful.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you have enjoyed your stay with us.
We would love to see you again soon.
For £20 extra we got upgraded to an Executive room and got a free bottle of house wine. With a free mini bar as well we were very happy.
A good location, only 5 mins walk to Tower of London.
We are so pleased you have enjoyed your stay with us. We would love to see you back soon!
Needed to book a night in London mid-week and my usual haunts were either fully booked or eye-watering expensive. Shopping around, I managed to get a room at the Indigo (which would just fall into the 'expensive' category for £240 incl VAT - ouch!)
Checked in late, must have been the last guest to arrive. Registration card all filled out so was into my room very quickly.
The room was small - at a guess around 150 sq ft incl bathroom. I'm not into cat-swinging so not sure how much space that takes, but it was a bit of a struggle to assemble the over-sized ironing board the next morning without hitting the walls, then play hunt the plug socket.
OK, so it was just a place to sleep but given the fact I paid rack rate and am top tier in the Intercontinental Hotels loyalty programme (and it was my first stay so time to impress me), I'd expected a bit more. Looking at the fire exit map, it seemed I was in the smallest room on the floor.
The inclusive minibar was a nice extra - long life juice, a few cans of coke/7up, water, chocolate bars all included. However, why not put a small carton of fresh milk - or even a cheeky beer - in there?
Bed was comfy enough, but I've had nicer. Room was fairly quiet, but other hotels do better than this, I think especially on ensuring other guest room doors don't slam shut. Bathroom had a 'funky' design (in other words, nowhere to balance a washbag without worrying about it falling down the toilet and a shower that flooded the floor). Nice toiletries and dressing gowns & slippers were appreciated too, and the free wifi is worth a thumbs up.
Only one elevator, which seems a shade impractical, although I used the stairs the next morning.
So the complaints are minor, but it's not all of a sudden my new favourite hotel in London.
Thank you for your feedback. We regret that we missed our first chance in "wowing" you.
Needless to say, your forthright comments are extremely valuable to us. We hope that we get another chance to demonstrate to you the Hotel Indigo hospitality ethos soon. Then maybe, just maybe Hotel Indigo London - Tower Hill can top your sortlist of favourite London Hotels.
Friendly & efficient reception - arrived early, room not ready but no problem looking after luggage - allocated upgrade suite on return! - not huge but very comfortable & most welcome! Terrific breakfast - good selection & well presented.
Thank you for your kind words. We would love to see you again soon.
Booked this hotel on my points and free night promotion to travel to London for my daughter’s birthday. Ideally situated close to Tower Bridge and with Aldgate station at the top of the road and Tower Hill tube station at the other end all areas are easily accessible.
My room was large with a good size flat screen TV, 2 easy chairs and a desk.
The 4 poster bed was excellent, providing me with 2 good nights sleep. Considering the hotel is in the centre of London it was a very peaceful area.
Reception staff was very efficient in sorting out my 2 separate reservations so I didn’t have to move rooms after one night. Everything was explained in great detail and the ordering of the Taxi was prompt.
Fantastic feedback! Many thanks for your kind comments regarding our staff and service especially for our front office team who are championing the "spirit" of Hotel Indigo.
We look forward to seeing again soon.
