We upgraded from the basic room, and it was well worth it, huge room and bigger bed. Very comfortable and free movies was a bonus. Staff were friendly and were able to assist with knowledge of the area. Quiet location for the weekend, so we were able to get a good deal, close to tube for access across London. I would recommend the hotel, but be aware it is in a business district so is a lot quieter on the weekends. It's still easy to get to London bridge etc and the bars and restaurants of the area. Gym across the road is pretty decent... They have a simple but good menu, I enjoyed the Thai food very much...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was spacious and the bathroom was modern. There are shelves next to the sink so we didn't have a trouble with the counter space. It's close to the aldgate station and a 10 minute walk to the tower of London. It is in the city district so kind far from other attractions but they're easy to get to on the metro. Free water and pops are great after a long day. The staff was excellent and courteous. Would definitely stay again

I booked 5 rooms for a family function and everyone was suitably impressed with what must be as good as it gets for the money anywhere in London. The hotel has superbly decorated rooms with great beds, trendy decor and large bathrooms. The staff could not have been more cheerful and helpful in arranging for early check-in to accommodate our afternoon timetable and sorting out taxis as and when we needed them. All my guests share my view that this is the place to stay - 200 yards from Aldgate Tube station and 300 yards from The Tower of London and Tower Bridge but in a quiet location in a street which is largely by-passed by the labyrinthine traffic system. Well done Inter-Continental Hotels, I certainly won't stay anywhere else in future.

First time in this hotel and loved it. We were upgraded to an executive room which was lovely spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is modern and very clean and the complimentary "stuff" in the fridge is great and you get free "wifi" The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is close to the Tower and there are two tube stations nearby Aldgate and Tower Hill so just few stops to centre of London or a 20min walk to Trafalgar Square.
Area quiet at night and some of the pubs and bars nearby are closed at the weekend as they service the city workers.

Stayed again at this hotel for one night on 23 June. Lucky enough to be upgraded (again) to a suite. Very comfortable room with separate seating area. Staff always very helpful and friendly. It's true that the bathrooms could do with more shelf space by the sink, and the shower (which is usually excellent) was stuck at scalding hot (had to use a flannel to turn the fawcet to cold). However, it's a great London hotel, slightly off the beaten track but that's not a bad thing in my book.

This hotel offers great value for money. We stayed at an executive room which was very spacious to European standards and very well appointed. The four poster bed and the exposed brick wall give a very funky feeling to the rooms, let alone the bathroom, with its great shower. This hotel is located in the city, so don't expect the hustle and bustle of the piccadilly circus area, specially during the weekends when the city is kind of dead. However, most major sites are reachable by London's underground system or "tube", by walking, and to my amazement, their new shared bike system, where the first half hour is free!. Service was good, the people at the reception were very friendly. Since the area is so calm, you get a very good night sleep. Highly recommended

Just back from a 2 night break in London and had booked the Indigo hotel after reading Tripadvisor reviews..
First impressions count and the fabulous red granite reception is both cool and chic.
The rooms ( we stayed in 408 ) are way above what might be expected for the money.
We paid £110.00 per night, room only and it is extremely good value at that rate.
We didn't include breakfast as it looked pricey when booking but cheaper options are available in the dining room in the mornings and good value can be had there.
Rooms are spacious and clean as a whistle with wooden floors instead of grubby carpets.
The pictures tell the story.
The bathrooms are modern, clean and the shower is powerful with two options.
What we found in the room -
Complimentary Wifi / His & Hers robes & slippers / Aveda bathroom products / iPod dock / Satellite TV / Safe / Mini-bar with complimentary waters / snacks / Nespresso machine / Usual Kettle, teas, etc. / As many towels as you could use in a day and, used or not, they are changed the following day.
What was missing from the room -
..........................................................
I couldn't recommend this hotel enough for the price paid.
It's also a 2 minute walk to Aldgate Tube station which is on the Circle & District Lines.
Tower of London is a 10 minute walk.
It's not a hectic locale at the weekend as a lot of places close when the City boys leave for the weekend. In my opinion that's a plus.
