“Gem of a hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2012

Stayed just one night at the Indigo Hotel on a trip to the Olympics. A lovely welcome from the team on reception, quiet, beautiful room, with a huge comfy bed, and spectacular breakfast. Excellent location for exploring along the river in London. I have downgraded my rating for 2 reasons. Firstly, we paid through the nose due to Olympic rates. However, they did give us lots of extras that had not been originally included (they didn't have to do that), so we were left feeling valued rather than fleeced! The one big disappointment was check out time. Breakfast was from 7am to 11am. We had a late breakfast and on the way back to our room we wanted to check what time we needed to vacate. The guy on reception told us 2pm, the girl next to him then interrupted, asked for our room number, and changed it to 11am - this was at 11.10am! They obviously wanted our room early. Not on. We were allowed to stay until 12pm, but it left a nasty taste. So, I'd recommend this hotel, but suggest you get your check out time sorted (and in writing?) the day you arrive.

Rooms are very big and spacious. Staff is corteous and helpful. Is not far from tower bridge! Hotel is very close to underground and bus stations! Breakfast was fine with a good choice of hot and cold food! Looking forward to come back and stay in this hotel again!

The Indigo hotel is somewhat hidden, a rather discrete entrance but what a positive surprise. A new (2 years old) modern hotel with great and confortable rooms, well equipped and designed. The most positive element was the enthousiastic, friendly and very helpfull staff at the reception desk. An international bunch of well educated and very service oriented young professionals that help you where they can.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are very large by London standards and have all of the modern appliances a business traveler would need. The staff is courteous and helpful. The only problem is that people have found out about this hotel and room prices can get very high compared to other hotels in the City area. The hotel does not have an onsite fitness center, but uses a location a few blocks away.

Room Tip: get a room facing the side as the front street can be very busy

Great comments thank you. I think we are such a small hidden gem in the London scene that we may continue "evading serious detection" for some time to come... so not to worry, there will be always "room in the Inn" for our regular guests...
We look forward to seing again on your next trip to London.

This Hotel is very close to Fenchurch Street Station and Tower Hill undergound rail links for getting about and also walkable distance to Tower Bridge and Tower of London.
The Hotel is modern and although our room was a bit small it was very comfortable and very well equipped. It is a good idea to book breakfast at reception the day before as it is cheaper and well worth having.
Overall the hotel is comfortable, modern and nicely decorated and the staff on reception were vey helpful.

Room Tip: It would seem if you want a bigger room you need a higher floor - we were on floor 3.

I loved everything about this hotel. The service was exemplary. The rooms were clean and well sized. It had a very nice bathroom. The decor was very modern and very nice. It is just a great place to stay while in London.

Just near Aldgate station (underground) on circle & Met line. Great hotel massive rooms and friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Beware at the weekend small shops etc closed. There is a Starbucks and pub down the road thou. Tower bridge and Thames only 10 min walk away then catch a boat if you fancy up the Thames. The bed was comfy, mini bar and nespresso fab.

Room Tip: All good rooms very quiet at the weekend.
