After staying lot of times in the city west end we decided for a change of scene and reserved this east end hotel. We have stayed there for a week and loved the location closed to 3 tube stations and in walking distance for all major trendy east and south London attractions. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the hotel but I'm not sure we'll stay there again.
The pros:
- Beautiful designed room
- Location
- Cleanliness - spotless room and bathroom
- Very friendly and responsive staff
- Free wifi and minibar
- Espresso machine in the room
The cons:
- There is lot of noise from the room above and we woke up every time the guests above us woke in the room. Actually it feels as they're in the same room with you...
- Although large in size there is no room for toiletries in the bathroom.
- Reception area is tiny by any standard.
- The shower is partly open and the floor is flooded after each shower.
- The air conditioner isn't working so well and noisy more than cooling.
And last thing - upon checkout we asked for a taxi to Heathrow. Their quote was 75 pounds.
Eventually we booked it by ourselves it cost only 50 pound...

This new hotel offers excellent, large rooms with top class amenities. bath and shower as well as free wifi and a huge bed with top quality bedding.
Staff could not be more helpful.
Good location near to several tube stations yet a quiet area of London.

Room Tip: Worth upgrading to the deluxe rooms

Dear Guest,
I guess it really depends on your main objective for visiting London but whatever it is, Indigo gets appreciated for almost the same (3) three things: its rooms, the amenities offered and its staff. You said it too. Thanks!

Loved this hotel. I normally stay at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury when in London but thought I would try something different. Not only is this place slightly cheaper its also vastly superior. The staff were really friendly and the room was nothing short of brilliant. OK, so there is no view but the decor and standards were very good. From the bathroom, to the bed to the complimentary mini bar it was all really comfortable and high quality. The only minor point for me was that in my room, you could not watch the TV from the bed but that really didn't bother me.

Dear Guest,
Nice of you to point out that not only are we different but cheaper and “vastly superior” as well. Had you informed us, we could have done something about the bed vis-a-vis T.V. position. Maybe the next time you come?

London is very expensive by Canadian standards, so I was a bit worried about finding a good hotel for a reasonable amount of money - the Indigo Tower Hill turned out to be a wonderful find. It's a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. We had two rooms (305 and 405), which were larger than we expected (likely due to the fact that they were wheelchair accessible) with a modern, chic decor. The rooms both had Nespresso coffee makers, a kettle, mini bar and snacks. The bathrooms were super clean and spacious. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel's restaurant (about 17 pounds) and the buffet had good variety. Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, especially since we were worried about transport to the airport during a potential strike. Only down-side was that it took a couple of days to get a slow shower drain cleared (apparently because it was a holiday weekend). I would definitely stay again, and I'm quite fussy about my hotel rooms :) Would highly recommend.

Dear Guest,
Nice to know we qualified by your standards of what a good hotel should be like and what it can offer in terms of services. It was more than a pleasure to be part of your London stay. We apologize for the inconvenience the slow shower grain may have caused you and appreciate you pointing this out so our housekeeping staff can attend to the matter.

We enjoyed our stay at this small boutique hotel near the Tower of London and the City of London where my husband had business. We could walk to Liverpool Street Railway Station which was perfect and walk to the Underground. The price was very reasonable for London.

On arrival don't expect a huge reception area, but does it matter you don't stay in the reception! Don't expect rooms with views, there are none it's a built up area in the city of London. What you do get is nice clean modern rooms with excellent bathroom facilities and a very comfortable bed. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge with complimentary soft drinks! Nespresso machine is a nice touch however just 2 coffee capsules is not enough! Location is great turn left and Aldgate station is 2 mins up the road, turn right and Tower Hill station is 5 minutes away. Very polite staff.

Dear Guest,
You’re absolutely right, Thank you. What’s a room with a nice view but with a very comfortable bed??? We do pride ourselves in those very things you found great: our beds, the amenities and the cleanliness. That’s Indigo for you!
