Excellent welcoming hotel

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 11 May 2019
Just returned from an overnight stop at this hotel which is in a superb location near mainline train station of Liverpool St Station and tubes,
Very convenient for the Tower of London and riverboat excursions to various places of interest including Greenwich.

Pleasant, friendly staff who go the extra mile, a lovely clean room and a fabulous freshly cooked breakfast.

Amazingly quiet despite central location, we had a peaceful night’s rest.

Highly recommend and thanks to all staff.

The room was just what I had hoped for. It was spacious and clean, and I loved the decor and colours. The hairdryer in the room was just like the one I have at home, so I didn't have to use ages to get my hair dry. Free minibar with chocolate and soft drinks was a nice touch. Breakfast was really good!
The Hotel staff was very helpful, and they were so nice and funny :-)
The hotel was close to the underground, and there were several good restaurants close to the hotel, so we didn't have to go far for dinner if we didn't want to. Only thing was that restaurants in this area were closed weekends.
Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice Hotel, located at Minories St. a 5 minutes walk to Aldgate station. We had a nice friendly welcome and provided with a good non-smoking superior room. The room provided complementary snacks to the room daily. Nespresso machine and coffee capsules provided daily, also a nice selection of teas. However, wish there were more bathroom and room amenities, like a a sewing kit and shower cap. We were two people and there was only one bathroom robe.  Breakfast was nice, nice selection from the hot menu, pastries, dairy and variety of deli. Really nice hotel, wonderful friendly staff. Hotel Indigo is the place to stay.

We booked the Indigo after switching from the Hilton to make sure we stayed in an IHG hotel.
A good choice on arrival as the checking in was efficient and friendly. This included an much appreciated upgrade. We were initially in the Tower Suite but had a problem with the electrical system and were switched to a different room. The change was handled by Viktorija and her team and was very professionally managed. She went out of her way to ensure my wife was happy with the new room and we completed our anniversary weekend in good form. All the staff were exceptionally well trained particularly on reception and we thank you all for a great weekend.
We did notice the excellent breakfast served on the Sunday was not replicated on the Monday morning which was of a poorer standard.
Still highly recommend this hotel for visiting that part of London. Aldgate underground is very close for cheap travel to attractions.

Only 2 minutes walk from Aldgate station, the hotel is small but modern. Room was a good size with an excellent and well equipped bathroom.

Breakfast was good, and the cooked items prepared to order, and the price was sensible.

Staff were all helpful and friendly too.

A good find, and will encourage me to look for other Hotel Indigos in the future.
