Room nice, not impressed with the food

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 30 May 2019via mobile
Had a one night stay, the room and facilities in there were impressive.
It was a shame that the food menu wasn't up to the same standard, all basic items with not much choice. Should have guessed as much as it was empty when I went in.
Decided on the pie and mash, pie was tasty, but the mash and few vegetables were cold.
Due to the time it took to arrive and having to go back into work, I didn't complain.

Breakfast was okay, except for the scrambled eggs, which looked more like a broken up omelette.

Sorry, but I won't be eating in there again if the booking agency put me in there!

Dear Mr. Neil W,

Thank you for your review.
We appreciate your positive comment on room and hotel facilities.
We are sorry to hear that the food was not up to standard and we would like to assure you that we are making changes to our menu and staffing. We hope that you will give us another chance and that this experience was an exception to the high-quality service we strive for.

This hotel suited the location for my business trip perfectly. Only a few minutes walk to Aldgate or Aldgate East tube. A friendly Spire Elite welcome at reception and a lovely room overlooking the London skyline. Comfy, light and airy room with Sky Sports TV too! Breakfast was superb. I chose not to dine in the restaurant in the evening as there are so may other places to try. Yep, will stay here again.

My partner & I stayed at this lovely hotel this weekend. We were even upgraded from a superior to a king room on the 7th floor. The room, service & price we couldn’t fault. The room had a Nespresso machine, with free soft drinks & chocolate in the fridge was a nice touch. Nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted by 2 ladies at reception on arrival who were sooo polite & pleasant. What a pleasant stay. Would definitely return. Ideally located for what we wanted to do in London! Thank you Hotel Indigo

Just returned from an overnight stop at this hotel which is in a superb location near mainline train station of Liverpool St Station and tubes,
Very convenient for the Tower of London and riverboat excursions to various places of interest including Greenwich.

Pleasant, friendly staff who go the extra mile, a lovely clean room and a fabulous freshly cooked breakfast.

Amazingly quiet despite central location, we had a peaceful night’s rest.

Highly recommend and thanks to all staff.

The room was just what I had hoped for. It was spacious and clean, and I loved the decor and colours. The hairdryer in the room was just like the one I have at home, so I didn't have to use ages to get my hair dry. Free minibar with chocolate and soft drinks was a nice touch. Breakfast was really good!
The Hotel staff was very helpful, and they were so nice and funny :-)
The hotel was close to the underground, and there were several good restaurants close to the hotel, so we didn't have to go far for dinner if we didn't want to. Only thing was that restaurants in this area were closed weekends.
Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice Hotel, located at Minories St. a 5 minutes walk to Aldgate station. We had a nice friendly welcome and provided with a good non-smoking superior room. The room provided complementary snacks to the room daily. Nespresso machine and coffee capsules provided daily, also a nice selection of teas. However, wish there were more bathroom and room amenities, like a a sewing kit and shower cap. We were two people and there was only one bathroom robe.  Breakfast was nice, nice selection from the hot menu, pastries, dairy and variety of deli. Really nice hotel, wonderful friendly staff. Hotel Indigo is the place to stay.
