“Too hot to handle!”

Please ensure that you do not stay here during summer months. The only form of air conditioning are windows that don't open wide enough to create any breeze and a standing fan. Neither of these made an ounce of difference, making it impossible to sleep even on top of the bed.
For all women out there....no hairdryer included!

Just returned from a 3 night trip to the Capital. This hotel was in a perfect location, five minutes walk from Waterloo station where you could access tube, trains and buses. 10 minute walk to London Eye, Westminster, Big Ben & Houses of Parliament. Newly refurbished room, lovely breakfast, good choice of both hot and cold food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend, and would definitely stay again.

This isn't a five star hotel so we shouldn't assess it as such. It is clean and tidy and 'reasonably' well located, although not as much as some of the reviews suggest. Staff were particularly pleasant, more so than in many top class places I have stayed in. Big negative though was the lack of aircon in a small room.

My Husband & I stayed for one night at the Travelodge Waterloo. Great location , 5-10 mins walk from the tube. Clean and presentable hotel which has recently been refurbished. I think it is very greedy that you have to pay £10.00 for early check in (before 3pm) even though we had paid £102.00 for one night bed only. I was quite upset about this and this is a scam as they then tell you there is nowhere to leave your luggage till 3pm so you have no option but to pay. Rude and cold woman on reception who didn't give two stuffs about the fact we had been travelling since 4am. Literally , you don't pay then expect to cart your luggage round London. Putting this rude woman aside... the Location is fantastic , 10 mins walk to the Eye, 15 to Westminster Abbey, parliament, Big Ben. Room was clean and adequate, shower is hot and powerful. We did eat evening meal in the hotel and the food was good too. Plenty of choice, large portions and piping hot. Checking out the next morning was quite refreshing, the POLITE lady who has taken over the other womans shift said that it wasn't a problem if we wanted to check out late, no charge, just popped our names in the book so we could have some extra time in London before driving home.

Overall I would recommend this hotel and we are going back again this year. But ill let my husband deal with the £10.00 'con' check in.

I had stayed at other travelodgee belfry but this is not the best

Firstly walking upto the third floor wasn't accessible via the moral stairs it was either lift or service stairs so we chose lift at first. Room was sizeable but looked and felt empty. The room temperature was extremely hot even with no heating on the window was tiny ad could only be opened 2 inches there was no air con only two fans but we had things that needed charging so could only use one...

The beds were not as comfy as we'd stayed in previous travelodges but were okay I guess... Why do we have to pay extra for wifi? Surely with the price we pay it should be an added extra?

Off to breakfast we used the service stairs as one lift was on 'priority service' the other was always full so we used the service stairs and it was so hot and smelt awful luckily the thought of breakfast helped us through it.

Breakfast was nice a nice range and the staff were lovely but I don't think I'd stay here again sadly....

The staff were friendly, helpful and easily accessible. The cleanliness of the room was great with a spotless bathroom, bedding and towels and the bed and bedding were lovely and comfortable. The room was basic but more than adequate for an overnight stay. We had a front facing room with windows we could open and this made the room comfortable to sleep in. I picked this TL because of its location close to The Old VIc and would definitely book again.

This hotel was in a great location, a short walk from the station we also walked to the London eye from here it took about 15 mins. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful it has everything you need without the expensive prices of London. We would definitely stay here again.
