On arrival we were welcomed by friendly members of staff.. Paid £10 to gain early access to the room! When the lift doors opened at level 7 you could not breathe, the wave of heat that came over you was incredible! Arrived at the room and the heat was unbearable and the room smelled very sweaty -like a team of rugby players had just been in it- Went to reception and complained, the staff were very accommodating and moved us to the ground level room 1! There was a good variety of breakfast available to choose from, the only thing was you had to queue for toast if the machine was busy!! Overall a good hotel but the only thing lacking is AIR-CON

On arrival staff were very friendly, paid £10 to check in early. Proceeded to level 7 when lift doors opened the heat just hits you! Opened room door and the heat inside was unbearable. The window only opened a tiny bit and the fan provided was useless. I went back to reception to complain and to ask for a room on a lower level. The staff that I dealt with were very helpful and moved us to the ground floor which was so much cooler. The room was clean and basic but served its purpose. Breakfast was alright you had a decent choice of hot and cold foods. I would stay here again but would always make sure I book in advance and get ground floor level.

Stayed here for three nights very good value for money booked ahead and got the saver prices. The new beds are lovely so comfy clean rooms remember your own hair dryer and toiletries ,towels great. Only problem as most people have stated is the heat in the rooms the fan did help but we did manage to sleep ok.we had breakfast which again was good value. I have to commend the young man in the breakfast room he was always interested and chatty with good local knowledge

Was pleasantly surprised when we finally reached the hotel after a long day walking & sightseeing around the Capital. The staff were sooooo friendly & helpful, more friendly than many 4 star hotels I have previously stayed in. Credit to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful ( even filled my 13 year old Son for the day ). The only thing which let the hotel down was the lack of air con. I have damaged disc in my back so was worried about the bed and pillows, it was soooo comfy. Well done Travel Lodge, I would definitely return on my next visit to London.

A great hotel only 7 minutes walk from Waterloo station and the Old Vic Theatre is in between, which was the reason for our stay. Lovely room and very comfortable bed and there was hardly any noise from inside or out. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Scott for noticing that I was limping as I had hurt my foot. He got me some ice in a cloth to put on it to stop the swelling and arranged for our checkout to be extended free of charge which was a great help as our train home was not until later. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for the price that was paid and would stay there again. I had recently stayed in the Tower Hill Travelodge which was excellent as well
