Bitterly disappointed, walked past a few times and it looked authentic and great so finally decided to give it a try.

Ate here the other night, the décor is awful, tables and chairs are failing apart, fixture look temporary, serving plates were chipped etc. Also glimpsed into the kitchen and it looked very dated and dirty. The menu is extremely overpriced, especially when you take into account the quality of service, food, and the venue itself. Ordered some sashimi which was not fresh; it was really cold and one piece was still par frozen which led me to believe that it was thawed. Mains were overpriced and average at best. Usually you’d expect their specials to be of a fresher quality but tasted awful. We also asked multiple time to make sure there was no pork in a particular dish, when we discovered pork in the dish and complained they took a while to removed the dish from our table and then took their time with the bill where they decided a £3 discount on that dish was adequate. I’ve eat better Japanese at Itsu, should be avoided at all costs.

This place is a total rip off! Very expensive for very poor food.
Me and my husband ate their last night and really wish we hadn't bothered. We were charged £54 for a few Poor quality Maki rolls that were defiantly not make to order and looked and tasted like they had just come off the shelf in a supermarket.
My husband ordered the Teriyaki Salmon which has a price tag of over £10 and received just a cm thick slice of fish Luke warm with sticky sauce on it. All of this we eat and the waited and waited for the crispy noodles with pork and bean sprouts I had ordered. We then chased this up and it finally arrived. Well something on a hot skillet arrived but bore little resemble to what I ordered. It was warm soggy noodles ( not crispy ) a few bean sprouts and , well let's just say we had to hunt for the pork, and eventually found 4 tiny very thin scraps very crisped up and mixed it. It was loaded with grease and disgusting. In fact my best analysis would be left over pork chow mein squirted with oil and microwaved.
The service was awful and the waitress serving us couldn't even understand English. We decided to just pay and leave and not leave a tip only to find a staggering 12& 1/2 percent tip already on the bill !!
We left feeling totally ripped of and disappointed as well as hungry so went in search of a Pret !

My Japanese friend strongly recommend this restaurant. They have lots of different foods such as sushi, ramen, agedashi-tofu, okonomiyaki, and so on. And the tastes are quite similar to original Japanese one. The price is quite expensive but I am sure you can enjoy the meal.

It's the second time we went for dinner at Nagomi. It's a hidden little spot in the heart of London with a very simplistic interior. Both times we were surrounded by Japanese people...a good sign for the quality and the authenticity of the food... The fish was very fresh and the portions of the 'Sashimi' quite generous (compared to other sushi restaurants). The 'Nagomi Roll' was a real delight with its slightly crispy outside. We also loved the 'Mixed Seaweeds Salad' and the 'Salmon Teriyaki'. We paid approximately £60 for two (incl. service and a glass of wine each) which we thought was very acceptable looking at all the dishes we had eaten.

The staff was very friendly and helpful even though their English might not be the best.
