“Fantastic stay!”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

We stayed at St Pancras Renaissance for one night in January. When we arrived, staff on the reception desk were polite, friendly and very welcoming. We had a member of staff that came to take us to the club lounge as i booked a club room which was well worth it as it really made our trip special. She was very friendly and gave us some information about the history of the hotel and also told us about the tours the hotel provides for guests. The service really was fantastic. I was very impressed with the Chambers Club lounge and the service in there. We had light afternoon tea as well as breakfast the following day in the lounge and staff were polite and extremely helpful both times. The chambers rooms are worth booking as they are stunning but the use of the lounge truly makes it worth it.
Our room was beautiful. Dramatic ceilings, a very comfy bed, welcome chocolates and all overlooking the beautiful St Pancras Station. We have stayed in many 5* London hotels and this is one of the only stays where we would go back again.

Room Tip: I really would try to go for a Chambers Club room - it really is worth the extra and makes the trip...

Thanks for your kind comments. I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your recent stay with us and found the staff to be so welcoming and helpful. Great to hear you were able to experience the Chambers Club. As the most exclusive party of the hotel, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the variety of complimentary snacks and drinks available throughout the day. As you say, the range of benefits afforded to guests of Chambers, from the wet shave in Gentlemen’s Tonic to the Bath Ritual experience make the additional cost well worthwhile. Thanks again for your feedback and I do hope to welcome you back to the hotel next time you stay in London.

Surely one of the most interesting and beautiful hotels in all of London. When we arrived for 4 days following a 14 day Baltic Cruise, my wife was not feeling well, but the hotel arranged for her to see a doctor almost immediately. The concierge was also extremely helpful in selecting great restaurants in the city every night and cost effective transport back to Heathrow airport for our return flight to the States. This is a classic, unique property and we enjoyed ourselves. No question but this is where we will stay on our next trip to London.

Stayed at the new St Pancras Renaissance for New Year's eve and it is truely an outstanding hotel. The ease of the location gives fantastic freedom to discovering London - with leaving suitcases in the hotel until just 5 minutes before our return train journey extremely helpful.
It is expensive - but you pay for what you get in life and the service, cleanliness and ambience is what you would hope for in a 5+star hotel.
The architecture in the bars and public areas is breathtaking. Meals excellent and overall experience one that I would be very happy re-living!
Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights in Barlow House, spacious and of fine quality. We were looked after with great friendliness and kindness including in the Chambers Club where Platinum card did the trick. We were grateful for lovely expansive breakfasts and the occasional sandwich. Of course the location is excellent, East Midlands Train in and don't even have to go downstairs from the platform! We'll all remember this fondly and in all likelihood will return for a repeat performance. Really efficient and everything just worked really well from our bags delivered up and housekeeping seemed to know exactly when to make up the room by telepathy which made the days just perfect. Thank you!

Room Tip: Barlow rooms have class, and are great value. I'm sure the Chambers Rooms are exquisite, but we...

So cool. The old train station building is amazing. The rooms are really nice and comfortable. The restaurant is good. The lobby is fun to hang out. If you take the Eurostar or tube you are literally right there. You don't even have to walk outside. The neighborhood is well located and the new Grainery building is awesome. They are renovating the whole area of Kings Cross. Stay there.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am so pleased to hear your enjoyed your recent stay with us. As you say, the location is perfect for those wishing to explore London, with multiple underground and train lines running out of both Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. Kings Cross is fast becoming London’s hottest new neighbourhood, with new openings and events happening each week. I do hope you were able to go on the complimentary walking tour of the development, which runs from Granary Square? It’s the perfect way to learn more about what’s happening in the local area and see the new buildings up close. Thanks again for your feedback and I do hope to welcome you back again soon.

We were attending the Victorian magic hour show in the hotel itself -also amazing-and so had afternoon tea in the Gilbert Scott bar beforehand. Having had many such teas this was one of the really good ones... We loved the hot sausage slice that came with the sandwiches, the scone was probably the best I've ever had and the cakes too were lovely. The staff could not have been more attentive and offered us refills of water and sandwiches. When you compare the price of even a pot of tea on the station I can't believe people go anywhere else!!

Excellent stay at this hotel. Room very comfortable, undisturbed nights sleep. Perfect for our onward trip the following day. Would advise booking a table well in advance if you want to dine in the evening. Even in the bar the tables are reserved.
We managed to get a table for 9pm. When we arrived we had to wait as table not ready. However, staff handled this really well by bringing us a complimentary cocktail while we waited then a complimentary starter plus a complimentary dessert! Very impressed by the service.
