We visited Mise En Place last summer when they'd been open only a few months and were terribly impressed with the adventurous aims of the menu and the fact that they managed to deliver all at the very highest level.
For that reason we had high hopes when we returned last week but were also rather cynically steeled for a disappointment. I am over the moon to say that our fears could not have been more misplaced as the fayre has only improved and delivery become only more assured. It was also gratifying to see the place full and that quality is clealry being appreciated even in these difficult times. The pumpkin ravioli was tremendous, the monkfish with oxtail rich and tastey to the point of decadence. As before, the wine list is just filled with sumptuous and recogniseable classics at entirely sensible and drinkable prices.
Rush there. But by the look of the occupancy last week, book early!
