Boy did they have big homes back in the day. Well, visiting Queen Victoria's home was quite a thrill. I learned about her life, the Kensington system and her early childhood. Later in the tour I learned about her adult life and the love she had for her family and husband. Use the London Pass.

Gardens lovely! We were privileged to see Prince Harry & William arrive in a helicopter as we were walking through the gardens after tea!

We were somewhat unprepared for this venue as it was so nicely set up for a self guided tour. No pressure, no lines, and good published information. Very helpful and hospitable guides. We were also unprepared for the size of this venue. It is enormous. As it still is active housing for many of the Royals including Prince Harry, it was all the more fascinating. Of course the stories told by the guides even if embellished a bit made it all the more fun.

The Palace was nicely laid out and we enjoyed the actors playing Royal family and their staff. Between the actors and the well informed stewards it really made it entertaining and informative.

Kensington Palace was okay, but far from the best palace or site to see in London. The park was nice and the day we visited was bright and sunny, which is unusual for London. It was really nice to see locals out enjoying the day in the park. The palace and exhibits within the palace, however, were not very satisfying. I would recommend many other locations in London before Kensington.
