We visited Kensington by using the Big Bus day tour using our London Pass. We had to stand in a long line to get our card scanned to get tickets for entry. The line moved quickly. The grounds were beautiful and majestic. Once we entered the palace, the grandeur and exquisiteness, I expected was not there! Many of the things like furniture, lighting etc were not well maintained and it looked shabby. However, the ceilings were simply beautifully done. Overall it was just nice but still felt blessed to have visited this landmark. The gardens were simply beautiful and well kept and that was my best part.
If you have the time, then by all means go ahead & visit but it’s far from the major attractions in London City! It’s a nice place to go hang out and picnic on the grounds if you have the time.

Didn’t plan on visiting Kensington Palace, but had some spare time the first day we arrived in London and was only a short distance from the hotel we were staying in. Costs about £20 per adult to enter.

Showing Queen’s Victoria’s collection; showing the story of her life is fascinating and the collection of clothing and explanations of the events which influenced her life. With actors in a couple of the rooms acting out her story.

To do the tour justice you need to set aside about 2 hours

Would be nice to see more on the current monarchy.

We did not tour the palace but went for the gardens. It was very pretty garden and well maintained. The gardener stopped and answered by wife's questions about the flowers. Then we strolled thru the adjacent park.

We visited in the evening when walking through Hyde Park, so missed an opportunity to take an apparent tour? The gardens are pretty to walk through. Much more of a humble palace than Buckingham😂 seems more realistic.

Having been to this Palace previously to see the Princess Dianna collection we decided to go back and view Queen Victoria's collection. The story of her life is fascinating and the collection of clothing and explanations of the events which influenced her life were very educational. A number of the rooms in the Palace have been decorated with new carpets and wallpaper in keeping with the age of the house. To do the tour justice you need to set aside about 2 hours. As has been said previously the Palace itself is not the most impressive but the exhibits make up for that.
